unfortunately for me I keep dying from my addictions, think my save is fubar. My health no longer regens from painkillers and only goes down as I use anything. A can of beer kills me because it all lowers your health by a small margin. I paid the Dr. to fully heal my health and it does nothing.

You can beat your nicotine addiction by using sugar-beet water as an alternative to betel palm nuts with the added bonus that you can grow them in the green house for more as you don't need to consume the direct owned item but a processed item thus bypassing the need to buy more nuts or get your own growing set up.

I took alcohol and mushroom addiction, drank beers as needed and just sweated out the mushroom addiction. Just ignore it and go collecting bottles until it goes after a couple of weeks. Leaves you depressed for a while, but once you are over it start drinking less and soon you are all clear and no infection!

Unfortunately found out a cheat way by accident I really messed up my first playthrough so I made a new game with the same character name and changed the starting addictions and for some reason I got the beat all addictions and the mushroom addictions and I still hadn't gotten the smoking and alcohol achievements yet. Don't know if its a bug or what.

Lowkey its kinda worth keeping one addiction, otherwise your mental is just constantly draining. Drink lots and drink often my friends

I had spent a lot of money on quality food (packaged stuff in the discount isle) and used a huge water jug in the sauna to prevent myself from getting broiled in the Sauna. spent like half a day in there and only sated an addiction with small doses.
