Manifested across the cosmos rapidly after the infinite shockwave ripple that were sent across the galaxy by the Tears of Talos incident on planet Rose.

Although sharing many characteristics with the Mimic Burrower, AMBUSH are considered much more lethal creatures due to their faster movement, nigh invulnerability and tendency for ambush attacks behind doors and corners, hence the name.
