Just some personal bests, these are FAR from optimized runs.

This whole mode is entirely optional and I'm pretty sure you only need Gold medals to unlock all costumes (which is much easier to do). Platinums require some more skill to obtain.

UPD: one of the costumes might require Platinums.

Same as annabutt below... I've collected EVERYTHING in the game and gotten all gold medals, but I'm still missing platinum and 1 costume. Damn, I'm really gonna have to keep trying. Thanks for the guide.

i have all golds and still one costume left (the one with the little flag) so I assume you need all platinums for that one specifically! :)
