This will (hopefully) be a short guide on how Librarian (by InklessBrush) works.

Librarian has a few unique mechanics, most of which revolve around their specials.

They usually start out with 4 specials at game start, with two being permanent.

All specials (but Sanity and all other cane based specials) will be consumed on use. You can only get them back after using any move with a plus icon on it.

Check Pages will always give 1 special and it will give one each time you hold the animation another cycle.

The specials you get are based off of the current time left in the game, so it's pretty much going to be random.

Each special comes as a page. You can place the page somewhere close to you, or you can place it directly on you with a toggle. If you enable that toggle, using the direction wheel will instead have you dash to that destination, leaving the page in your place. Most cane based attacks now allow you to place a page as you do the attack.

The farther out you place a page, the shorter it will remain on the field.

YOU CAN CHANGE THE DIRECTION/ANGLE OF THE ATTACK WITH THE DI WHEEL. This allows for various mix ups, as having all of your specials gives you many options.

Skip Chapter is the only way to activate a page.

All of the supers revolve around the pages, with each special having a different effect. The one exception to this is Wonder Book, which gives some additional buffs.

Borrowed Knowledge will always give 2 specials and will also give one each time you hold the animation another cycle.

Skip Chapter is a 1 level super that normally is a fash dash, but if you line the grey circle effect with a page you placed, you will immediately teleport to that page and do the attack, which allows for long range mix ups.

Wonder Books is a super that will give you one of 4 effects selected by DI, and preserves your momentum on use. Here is the list of effects:

• Book of Crimson Flame (Red): Gives you 2 new attacks, Clause, which is a DP and Torment, which is a dash grab.
  
• Book of Azure Halo (Blue): Gives your DI stronger knockback, and enhances burst meter regen.
  
• Book of Lament Void (Green): Makes your pages have a fairly delayed attack at their location. Also gives you access to the moves Rapid Sweep and Rejection, which is Miko's Shrine Sweep and Denied Wish.
  
• Book of Purple Doom (Purple): Buffs 2 your normal attacks and gives you 10% damage reduction.

Each time you use the super, it gets more expensive. The cost goes 1, 2, 3, then 4.

Husk of a Grade 1 Fixer is a 3 level super that is only available once you have every special attack available or if you have hit each page special. This is a cool combo-super that will kill the opponent with a special animation if the opponent is below 2100 health.
