Steps
1) Set Proton compatability to Proton 8
2) Install Soulbringer game
3) Run the game once (it will fail)
4) Use terminal and execute this command:
protontricks 283310 mfc42 cnc_ddraw

5) Run the game again, set video options in launcher to Software, 800x600 x8 and start the game, then quit once you see the main menu. *
6) Browse installed game files
7) create ddraw.ini file (just a new text file named like that)
8) in this file write
maxfps=60 maxgameticks=60 minfps=10 vsync=true

8) Save and close the .ini file
9) Play the game and enjoy.

* you can play around with resolution settings and see which one you like best, once you get the game running all silky smooth.

In short, there seems to be some updates to winetricks that dont work well with protontricks any more and causes some error when using wine version 7.

If someone has a solution and gets this game working fine using proton version 7 (or any for that matter) I'd be happy to hear how.

Updated the guide and got the game to working state, but the main problem is that I can't seem to get Proton 7 working any more.
And this is crucial, because in proton 7 the game window was not stuck in a corner in small resolution. I have not found a solution how to fix this for proton 8.
