FIX
1. **Check for Existing Save:**
Begin by ensuring that the game save still exists in the game files. Type %appdata% in the search bar and open the folder associated with the game. Navigate to the "saves" folder and check if the folder with the save is present.

2. **Secure the Existing Save:**
If the save exists, it's advisable to copy it and place a backup in a secure location on your computer. This additional precaution can help prevent the loss of progress.

3. **Verify if the Save is Missing:**
If the folder with the save doesn't exist, consider shut off the guide and engage in physical activity to relieve any potential frustration.

4. **If Save Is In the Folder Launch Game And Create a New World:**
Upon returning, launch the game and create a new world with any name, ensuring that the world and game settings match those of the last save.

5. **Start and Exit the Game:**
When the game loads, allow it to run for a moment, then safely exit. This step is crucial for initializing the new save properly.

6. **Search %appdata%:**
Type %appdata% in the search bar and navigate to the game-associated folder, then proceed to the "saves" folder.

7. **Remove Appropriate Files:**
Locate the folder with the corrupted game save and delete files with the following names: main.ttw, main.ttw.bak, main.ttw.bak.loadFailed, main.ttw.lodafFailed.

8. **Recover the Save:**
After removing the specified files, open the folder with the new save created earlier, copy the main.ttw file, and paste it into the folder with the corrupted save you want to recover.

9. **Launch the Game:**
Start the game and enjoy the recovered progress. Voilà!

Remember that each step requires caution to avoid data loss, so it is recommended to create a backup before attempting any corrective actions.

I just use a mod that does an auto backup. Never had a problem since
