Cruiser Mk.III (A13 Mk.I)

The third British cruiser tank, inspired by the Soviet BT tanks and using a heavily modified Christie tank chassis. It saw combat in the France expedition, in Greece and in Libya, but was quickly replaced by more advanced designs.

Cruiser Mk.IV (A13 Mk.II)

The fourth British cruiser tank, a straight upgrade to the previous Mk.III. Early production models were simply Mk.III hulls with an up-armored turret, but they were quickly replaced with the initial production run, featuring enhanced hull armor as well as a new mantlet. The Mk.IVA version consisted of the bulk of the production and featured a redesigned mantlet and other smaller improvements. A CS version with a 3.7-inch howitzer was purportedly also planned, but never built.
The vehicles saw use in the France expedition, with many lost at Calais and the remainder were used in Greece and North Africa before being replaced by the superior Covenanter and Crusader designs.
