There is a common bug with colors that all workshop characters have at the moment. If your game crashes when you pick alts, it is not my fault.

Coldwin, was born and raised in the Fire Capitol. He went to medical school to become a doctor, and inherited his cursed lantern from his father. The lantern has an evil influence over the owner, and tries to get them to do malicious things. Coldwin, however, doesn't even hear the voice.

After the murder of Emperor Renburn, Coldwin's sister moved to Merchant port to get away from the stress. It was then burnt down by Zetterburn when he chased Orcane there.

Luckily, his sister is fine, and is now helping the city recover, but none of it helped Coldwin's psyche. Later, the two princes both disappear, and Coldwin's paranoia spikes. If it is so easy for three royals to disappear, what does that mean for the safety of the citizens?

He eventually learns how to defend himself, but he now uses his lantern in a way he was always taught not to; in combat. The lantern has gotten a grip on Coldwin.

He was eventually approached by Clairen, who is seeking the missing Champions of Aether. Coldwin, being in a vulnerable state, thinking he wouldn't be doing much to help otherwise, agreed to help her. They travel to the Aetherean Gates, which is where they suspect they have gone. It is now just a big hole, so they venture inside.

NSpecial: Lantern Toss
Coldwin throws his lantern forward as a projectile. It then hovers there until he needs it again. You can use FSpecial to grapple right to it!

FSpecial: Grapple Knives
Coldwin throws his knives, and they will latch on to whatever they hit. Coldwin then pulls himself in, closing distance and setting up combos.

USpecial: Phlame Spin
He spins a knife around him three times. The last hit has a tipper on the very top, making it a very powerful kill move.

DSpecial: Blinding Light
Coldwin reels back and shines his lantern forth, creating a blinding light in front of him. Foes caught will be knocked back and stunned until they hit the ground, or after a short period if there is no ground. Use this opportunity to follow up with a strong attack!
Using this move while the lantern meter is full will put you in Phantom Mode.

Gimmick: Phantom Mode
Coldwin can build up the meter by landing attacks. Attacks that use the lantern fill up the meter much quicker!
Once the meter is full, you can use DSpecial to unleash the built up soul energy.
The spirits will mimic Coldwin's moves and use the same attack Coldwin uses immediately after he does.
Additionally, Coldwin becomes much lighter and floatier, allowing you to continue combos much easier!
