Introduction
  • Destiny 2 has 23 achievements. The base game contains 13, while the rest are DLC achievements.
  • DLC achievements are part of the Destiny 2: Forsaken Pack. Even though you can complete the requirements for some achievements without purchasing the DLC, the achievements still won't unlock until you do.
  • You can unlock a lot of achievements playing solo, but some require a fireteam. You can search for players via the in-game Fireteam Finder or on the LFG Discord Server.[discord.com]
  • Destiny 2 is known for vaulting older content, which is why some achievements had their requirements changed. That's why Bungie never added new achievements as expansions or updates were released in fear of having to change them constantly. So it is to be believed that no new achievements will be added.
  • As of 2025, all the achievements are attainable but will require a lot of playtime. Some achievements won't unlock immediately, so waiting a little bit, switching characters or restarting the game should fix it.
Long and Winding Road

Reach level 20.

The description of the achievement is outdated. Pick a class, finish your character customization, and the achievement will unlock.
Cayde's Pathfinder

Acquire each Hunter subclass.

While playing as a new Hunter, you will need to complete the first story mission, A Guardian Rises. When you complete it, you will get another mission titled, A Spark of Hope. Once this mission is triggered, Commander Zavala will send you to Ikora Ray, who will give you two different quests. Each quest will require you to defeat enemies with the associated elemental damage and generate 3 orbs of power. Complete the two quests, unlock the subclasses, equip each one at least once, and the achievement will unlock.

* Hunters start with the Solar class, so the quests you will get are: Riding the Storm and Gazing Into the Abyss.

Ikora's Protégé

Acquire each Warlock subclass.

Same as Cayde's Pathfinder achievement, but playing as a new Warlock.

* Warlocks start with the Void class, so the quests you will get are: Riding the Storm and Stoking the Flame.
Zavala's Lieutenant

Acquire each Titan subclass.

Same as Cayde's Pathfinder achievement, but playing as a new Titan.

* Titans start with the Ark class, so the quests you will get are: Stoking the Flame and Gazing Into the Abyss.
The People's Hero

Complete a Heroic Public Event.

A Public Event is a temporary event that allows random players in public spaces to work together to complete a specific objective and earn experience and loot. Once an event is announced, an icon will appear on the map screen for the planet, which allows players to find and track it. To make a Public Event Heroic, you need to complete a hidden objective. There are several different Public Events, and they all have different Heroic activation parameters. Complete a Heroic Public Event, and the achievement will unlock.

* You can look up how to trigger all Heroic Public Events on this website.

In A Flash

Complete 5 Heroic Public Events.

Complete 5 Heroic Public Events, and the achievement will unlock.
Lest Ye Be Judged

Encounter an Agent of the Nine somewhere in the system.

Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a vendor who sells extremely rare goods. He only appears on Fridays until the weekly reset on Tuesdays. After nearly a decade of moving around, he has finally set up a shop in the Tower’s Bazaar, in a small nook right next to the ramen shop. He also appears on the map now. Speak to Xur, and the achievement will unlock.

Challenge Accepted

Complete 30 challenges.

Challenges are offered from numerous sources in the game, and all of them reward either powerful or pinnacle gear. They can be seen on the interplanetary map interface and destinations as circular yellow icons. Challenges are reset weekly. Complete 30 challenges, and the achievement will unlock.

* There is no way to track how many challenges you have completed. Either take note of how many you have done or play along until the achievement unlocks.

Legends Grow

Earn 5,000 Triumph points.

DLC Required

Triumphs are gameplay objectives that are constantly tracked, which, when completed, can be redeemed for rewards. This usually takes the form of a triumph score, which measures a player's accomplishments in the game. Triumphs can be found in the player's journey menu. Earn 5,000 Triumph points, and the achievement will unlock.

High-Stakes Play

Win a Gambit match.

DLC Required

Gambit is a player vs. player vs. environment game mode. Win a Gambit match, and the achievement will unlock.
Show Me What You Got

Complete the "Light Reforged" quest.

Light Reforged is a questline given to you by Lord Shaxx. You will get the quest after you complete The Disgraced Strike and return to the Tower. Complete the Light Reforged quest, and the achievement will unlock.

The Life Exotic

Collect 15 Red War exotic weapons or armor.

Exotics are the highest-quality items available to players. They are recognizable by their golden color. They can be obtained mostly from exotic engrams, quests or Xûr.

* This achievement is bugged, as you don't need to get only Red War exotics. You just need to collect exotics of any kind. For me, the achievement was unlocked once I got a total of 24 exotics, whereas I only had 5 Red War once. The number of exotics you need varies from player to player, but the achievement always unlocks at some point.
Exotique

Collect 10 Forsaken exotic weapons or armor.

DLC Required

Collect 10 Forsaken exotic weapons or armor, and the achievement will unlock.

An Exotic Journey

Collect 15 Forsaken exotic weapons or armor.
Hidden Achievement
DLC Required

Collect 15 Forsaken exotic weapons or armor, and the achievement will unlock.
Seal the Deal

Complete a Triumph Seal.

DLC Required

Titles are cosmetic text displayed below a player's name. They are tied to seals, which are a collection of triumphs that represent achievements in a given activity, season or destination. Titles can be found in the player's journey menu. Complete a Triumph Seal, and the achievement will unlock.

Fashion Statement

Complete a Collections Badge.

DLC Required

Collection badges are a group of items from a specific location or activity. While they can be completed in any class, they only need to be completed on one character to be unlocked account-wide. Collection badges can be found in the player's collections menu. Complete a Collections Badge, and the achievement will unlock.

* This achievement still hasn't been patched. Only badges that count are those that came with Forsaken and before it. I unlocked this achievement with the Dreaming City badge.

Heart of the Awoken

Enter the Dreaming City.
Hidden Achievement
DLC Required

The Dreaming City is a destination. Destinations can be traveled to from the interplanetary map interface. Travel to the Dreaming City, and the achievement will unlock.
Nothing Left to Say

Complete the "Shattered Throne" dungeon.
Hidden Achievement
DLC Required

The Shattered Throne is a dungeon located in the Dreaming City. Dungeons are three-player activities that feature many unique mechanics and bosses. Complete the dungeon, and the achievement will unlock.
Wishing for the Best

Complete the "Last Wish" Raid.

DLC Required

The Last Wish is a raid located in the Dreaming City. Raids are six-player activities requiring constant communication, cooperation, abilities and gear. Complete the raid and the achievement will unlock.

* Playing from the Riven checkpoint and finishing the raid also counts for this achievement.
Heart of Darkness

Complete a Nightfall strike.

Strikes are three-player PvE activities that require players to complete a series of objectives, culminating in a boss battle. The Nightfall playlist features a single strike, which changes weekly in a specific order. Complete a Nightfall strike, and the achievement will unlock.

Darkness Falls

Defeat a Forsaken Nightfall Boss.

DLC Required

Forsaken bosses appear in The Corrupted and the Warden of Nothing strikes. Complete one of those Nightfall Strikes, and the achievement will unlock.

* Because Nightfall strikes rotate every season, it can happen that neither one is in the season's rotation.
Belly Of The Beast

Complete a Nightfall strike on Master difficulty.

Players can select the strike's difficulty, which affects its modifiers and recommended power level. These difficulties are Hero, Legend and Master. Complete a Nightfall strike on Master difficulty, and the achievement will unlock.
The Prestige

Complete a Nightfall strike on Grandmaster difficulty.

The Grandmaster Nightfall is a separate playlist and is the most difficult endgame activity the game has to offer. Complete a Grandmaster Nightfall, and the achievement will unlock.

* Grandmaster Nightfalls are not available for the entire season. Given their onerous level requirements, they become available later in the season.
Conclusion
This achievement guide was made by me as I was going through my own playthrough. That's why I maintain that every achievement and its way of unlocking it are achievable. I do not think I will have to update this guide because nothing significant should change, but if it does, I will do it as soon as I can.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the comments.

Cheers!

Before the patch, last November, only seals that came with Forsaken used to count, but now you can unlock that achievement with any seal. So just find a seal you like and go get it.

Hello, I would like to ask if the achievement 'Seal the Deal' is exclusive to the Forsaken? You mentioned in the article that it requires Forsaken-related seals, but in the comments, you said that the achievement can be completed with any seals, due to the patch last November.

After they patched the achievement last November, all achievements, including the seasonal ones, counted for it, so I don't see why that one wouldn't work. If you look at what people are commenting on the true achievements website, some are saying that seasonal ones are still counting.

Hi, This season's title: Star Baker, also counts for the Seal the Deal achievement?:BL3Thinking:

All achievements are still obtainable. Just follow the guide and you're good to go.

steam reviews for the forsaken pack say the content from this dlc has been vaulted, does this mean achivements aren't obtainable anymore?
