Definition of Constellation
In Earth's night sky There are unnumbered stars which are randomly distributed all over the sky. Some stars are arranged in a specific order and make us feel to a particular animal or something.
This things can be Mythological Characters or Objects or other things, But These are only Humane Imaginations actually They don't exists in space. Indeed they are very useful for us.

For Example : When we want to indicate a certain point of night sky or Nomenclature of stars or Astronomical objects etc.

So here any person can imagine his / her own Fictitious Drawing But Only Approved by IAU (International Astronomical Union) will be valid. These Fictitious Drawings must known in all over the world That's why these only those Certain kinds of creatures, Characters or Objects are allowed in their catalogue.

There are 88 Constellation in Earth's sky which covers the All Vicinity of our location, But Some of them are Invisible Because of Season, Curvature of earth etc.
Nomenclature of Stars
We know in a Constellation, Stars appear in an Certain Order. There are a lot of Schemes for Naming a Star But Here We only discuss about popular method which is called Beyer System
Which was proposed by a German Scientist Johann Beyer

According to This Plan :

(1) Look for a Constellation
eg. Centaurus

(2) Make a Genitive word
eg. Centaurus = Centauri

(3) For the Brightest star, Give it The First Letter from Greek Alphabet,Then Second Brightest Star
Deserves the Second Letter from Greek and this Process will carry out until the Greek alphabet
Completes, If there is more stars than Number of Greek letters Then Use The Numbers.

eg. α Centauri

Like other Theories and Schemes It is not immune to Exceptions But This is widely Acceptable Method to name a Naked Eye star.
Things You must Know
This Guide has been Created With Complete Care, Information are collected From Different Sources. Nevertheless At least 0.1 percent Errors can be possible.

Some lacks unanimity for Example : There are some stars in Aquarius constellation, Info are not same in SpaceEngine and Other Website. This can Be possible with others as well.

Some are under investigations by Various Astronomy Institutions, some can be Improved and Changed Completely or Partially or Just removed If they Find something Wrong or Changeable.

In case Errors or Misinformations are found in a section, Whatever is Right, Will and Must be Considered Truthful

Before Going further on this guide

There are some Special Symbols and Indications which will Really Helpful if You Read them Carefully. Because We have Tried to explain most at a single glance.

Colors of stars

We have assigned Special color for a Particular Class For detail Go and read that Guide, Check in Temperature and Color Section, So that You can know Why we chose that Particular color. Because This is the good chance to know the stellar type and its abundance in our local Cosmos.

PLEASE NOTE : VARIABLE STARS ARE NOT CONFIRMED YET IN SOME CONSTELLATIONS AND ALSO THEY DON'T SIMULATE REAL VARIABILITY NEVERTHELESS WE HAVE MENTIONED IN THE GUIDE WHICH WILL APPEAR AS PULSATING FLASHES IN CORRESPONDING IMAGES. JUST FOR YOU TO KNOW THEY ARE DIFFERENT THAN NORMAL STARS

Constellation Distribution in Earth sky

There Are some Certain Words have been used For Constellation Eg. Southern Hemisphere or Northern Sky. To understand these Words properly you must read this Sub section.

Actually From Ancient Ages Astronomers suppose The Whole Sky as a Sphere Where All Star appear in its Ceiling which has Infinite Radius and its centre is earth So When We talk about This Sphere We mean To certain part of this Sphere and Viewpoint is the earth.

We all know Earth and sun are situated a certain point of universe and Constellations are distributed in almost every direction Due to roundness of earth We see some of those or some will appear only specific season or month. According to this picture All zodiac constellations are Equatorial Because they are prominent around Equator of the earth Same as in north Hemisphere only certain constellation are visible Likewise for South. They are just viewpoint from different location from earth.

The Greek Alphabet

Almost Every Stellar name is based on Greek Letter, This is not too difficult for science Students to pronounce them despite We'll look those letter to avoid further Vocabulary Problem.

Its possible to some Greek Letter can be Mispronounce by me as a foreign author to Greek Grammar So if any Greek Visitor Comes and Read this section, He can and must Comment below.
Comment me what could be the right pronouncing.

c) Meaning = Meaning or Symbol of Name of Constellations.

d) Main / Visible Stars = The Stars on Constellation's Drawing Line which is Designed in
SpaceEngine.

e) Bordering / Neighbors Constellations = Other Constellations Around Current Title
Constellations.

2) There is Spreadsheet Named "Stars" or "Stellar Details" Which summarizes Following Properties of Star Depicted in the Animated / Still Picture of The Constellations -

e) Mass = In Multiples of Solar Masses, Main Star's Mass will be shown If there is Multiple
System. From SpaceEngine.

f) Uniqueness = If there is Notable Feature like Binaries, Trinaries or Multi - Stars Companion.

3) There is Facts Heading at the End of Every Chapter which Describes Fabulous and
Amazing Things or Places You can Visit on SpaceEngine If the Devs Created Them.
