Too Many Ideologies

Too Many Ideologies is a mod that aims to expand the ideological scope of Hearts of Iron IV to a ridiculous degree. The mod adds 38 unique ideologies each representing both a specific and a vague idea, to maximise potential applicability.

These ideologies are expansive and are inspired by many popular mods, such as Kaiserreich, TNO, and Red Flood. Initially when I was making this I wanted it to be more concise and restricted, but eventually I decided to just include everything!

Ideology artwork was developed by me personally, and was easily the most time-consuming part of making this mod.

About half of the added ideologies are not represented in game in a meaningful way, however I have plans in the future to modify the vanilla focus trees and events to immerse the new additions fully.

DLC:

This mod was developed with all DLC installed. As such, compatibility with versions that do not have access to all major DLC is unknown.

Due to being partially developed before the release of Arms Against Tyranny, issues relating to AAT countries are known. Therefore, this mod may work better without AAT, although this has not been tested.

KNOWN ISSUES:

I have done some basic playtesting and have played 2 full games as Germany and the UK with no major issues, however;

Many countries are missing full localization for ideology-specific country and party names, this is mostly an aesthetic issue but is being worked on.

Countries with a Balance of Power do not function properly.

The Soviet Union's civil war and Spain's civil war is quite messy and missing portraits are common.

Some AAT focus trees (particularly Norway) crash the game when viewed for too long, or when specific focuses are viewed. A fix is in the works.

Many more minor issues are known, and I imagine many more that are not, as the mod was partially developed before the release of Arms Against Tyranny. Being my first mod and developing this by myself, if you discover issues or crashes, please report them!

COMPATIBILITY:

As this mod changes all vanilla files which mention ideology (which is most vanilla files) this mod is highly incompatible mods that modify common files.

USAGE:

Developers can feel free to use this mod and its assets, just make sure to credit me.
