Wildmender Walkthrough (Sort of)
By Dragonation76
This will be a walkthrough of the game Wildmender, though not a completely exhaustive guide. I couldn't find great resources when I got stuck, so I figured I could make one...kind of.

Getting Started
To start off, you begin the tutorial phase of the game, and it walks you through pretty decently, so it isn't something that needs tons of explanation. As soon as the seal is dispelled, however, you now need to worry about food. The first food source the game presents you with are rainbow cactus, which you obtain their fruit by pouring water on to them. Right off the bat, I urge new players to find amaranth seeds in the nearby forest, and plant dunegrass along the spring to turn the soil usable.
If you can, I recommend something like ancient versions of all seeds (they will be an ethereal blue color), as they give increased food in most cases. If you are in a desperate search for food and dig up seeds, always make sure what the stats on that food, as many give poison effects and early on you can not just deal with that damage.

To expand your spring, I recommend unlocking the Water Seeker memory. This will require you to visit the nearby spirits that are around during the night. By doing this, you can increase how much water your spring has, making it less likely to run out each day, and increases the wet area around it to plant seeds on.

Some hazards to be aware of, immediately you have to worry about whirlwinds and tumbleweeds. These are very low damage, but very common, so something to have your eye out for.
As you progress, you will also occasionally encounter wraith attacks and sandstorms. Sandstorms are the most consistently annoying, not because of the difficulty, but due to timing and how long the storms last that you just have to...chill.
The best way to deal with this is to always have enough sticks and plant fibers to make a lean-to or 2. I have my lean-tos face each other with enough space to walk between them easily, and that usually handles the winds. Be warned, sandstorms will damage your plants and stuff you make, and it will kill you quickly.
Wraith attacks will pop up with a notification that there is one incoming, and then the actual hoard will show up in about 12-24 hours. This hoard gets harder as you see more types of wraiths.

Other than that, I recommend always filling your water jug before you leave a water source and always planting at least one of each type of seed.
Main Quest: Naia
Naia's Quest starts off with attacking the red crystals that shoot red...meteors? I don't really know what to call them. This one is easy, as it is set up by the game, and it usually teaches you what to do. That being said, the red spiky crystals will shoot out a laser that will poison you, while the floaty crystal shoots a beam at you that you reflect back using your mirror. You can not reflect the spiky crystal attack, but you can shoot them with your mirror.

When you meet Naia, you will immediately have to deal with a wraith attack, as well as 2 floaty crystals shooting at you. I recommend dealing with the wraiths and dodging the crystals in the meantime. After all of that, Naia will discuss two gods with you, Stryge and Gleb. It is up to you what you will do first, but I highly recommend finding Stryge first, as her item makes the Gleb fight (as wel as most other things) much easier. The blessed drop will be needed for multiple things, so make sure to bring extra acorns to fix the sigil gate near the temple for easier transportation. If you haven't already, it is important to unlock the first possible unlock for the arcane memory called Sigil Stones.
Main Quest: Stryge
Stryge is the god that will lend you her power of flight. Being able to fly greatly improves how well you can navigate the land, and makes fights much easier as most enemy's do not have great attacks against airborne opponents. The way to start this quest is to talk to our lovely guiding spirit back at the spring, and head to the salt flats. The salt flats present a specific challenge; your water drains fast. So make sure to bring as much water as possible, and bring food that drains your water the least.

The floating crystals can not be dealt with the way they were for the previous ones. There are two types in the salt flats, the ones that shoot meteors have a shell under the crystal, and all others. The quest crystals have shells that you use to summon something and to start the wraith battle.
To activate these shells, you need mistberries. You can find plenty in the forests along the salt flats, and they are a great food source.
After the shell is activated, get ready to run around like mad. Trying to fight the wraiths that spawn is useless, as they just respawn immediately after, and you need to stay in the central glowing circle. By just running in wide circles around the central crystal and dodging the attacks as they come, it is pretty easy to last out the timer. After the first crystal is dealt with, you can craft a ring that helps with the water draining, which will require copper and a blessed drop.
All crystals other than the quest crystals can not be dealt with until after Gleb has been found.

After all crystals have been dealt with, the fight with Stryge begins.
Before approaching Stryge, activate the sigil gate that is in front of the large statue (behing the far piller), otherwise a death will make it extremely annoying to deal with to walk all the way back.
When talking to Stryge, be prepared for a lighting attack as soon as the conversation is over, which goes for the mini alters too. After talking with her, the first battle arena opens up, and the fights begin. There are 3 total fights, which I can not emphasis how much you need health potions for, and you need to just keep runing. The blue wraiths will drain your water, so try to deal with them first.
Main Quest: Gleb
Gleb is the god that will give you access to honey (great for making festival cakes) and a stone that will allow you to break down the floaty crystals. To get to Gleb, you must first drain the poison that is all through the canyon. To do so, you must find the gates that shoot meteors, speak to the gate guards, and go through their quests.
Each gate worker will have you retrieving gears in poison-filled buildings, so pack plenty of poison potions and pack plenty of stuff to fix the sigil gates. Each building will have a sigil gate in the main hall, a sealed chest, and an elevator down that takes you to the main chamber to retrieve the items.
The first gate will teach you the basics, and will enable you to create a ring to help with the poison, which may or may not be needed depending on how much health and poison potions you have.

For the gate guard that mentions worker bees, activate the gate at the bottom of the gate, activate the gate in the building that has the elevator down, and then retrieve the bee statue that is in the same hall that the chest with the gear in it is in. Trying to make your way through the poisoned land is pointless, as it will almost always end in death as enemies spawn to attack you on the way. Just teleport, it is so much easier.

The final battle is one where you need enough essence built up to have a minimum of 45, as you will be crafting some things that require it. The battle requires you to place down worker bees and soldier bees that you will have to defend while they rebuild the temple. I also recommend setting up some sigils that have been upgraded to flame sigils as they will do a lot of damage for you. The sigils can be set up before you speak to Gleb, but the bees will be made afterwords because you need honey.
Try to overlap bee range if you can, as the battle will go on for as long as the temple is being rebuilt. If you fail, that is ok, it will give you more time to prepare for the next attempt as the battle won't start again until you talk to Gleb again.

After the final battle, Gleb will give you a stone that can break small rocks and the roads around, and honey, DO NOT EAT IT. This honey can be used to make worker bees at the spring so they can make more honey. After you have made a way to get more honey, it is fair game, but the 5 you are given is all you have unless you deconstruct the worker and soldier bees in the temple and buildings. Gleb's rock can also be used to destroy the crystals around, but you have to get up close and personal, so just keep running and fire off the earthquake after the crystal fires and is recharging.
Main Quest: Oros
Oros is the god of time and after his quest he will give you a time needle which you can use to destroy corrupted plants (something imperative to the final battle). This quest consists solely of you finding his temples and planting skytorch seeds in them. Only do this when prompted or it can break the game a little bit. Skytorch trees are basically just birch trees, so they are pretty easy to find in huge groups higher up in elevation.

This is probably the easiest god to finish the quest for, and that is pretty much it.
Main Quest: Arx
Arx is a god who will upgrade all of your gifts from other gods into things that can help with the final battle or, in most cases, make life more convenient. There are 4 alters to Arx, which can all be found on the map throughout the game. By presenting the other gifts given to you, you also learn more about the other gods, too, including their true nature (nothing sinister). That is really it; there isn't anything that isn't self-explanatory other than that all tasks given as a part of the quest can be completed at the alters in some way.
Final Battle
For the final battle, you will have to destroy the old Tree of Life, which is a challenging task. Make sure to have all of your defenses around your garden, because you will not have time to put them in place between destroying the tree and fighting the final boss. I used a combination of soldier bees and flame sigils around my garden, as well as walls and worker bees to help heal the walls as they get damaged.
By using these and having each thing overlapping each other, it made for a strong defense against the wraiths that the final boss summoned.

I recommend fully upgrading the gift of Stryge, as it is just about the best way to deal with this battle. There are dozens of pointy crystals, about 10 floaty crystals, and so many enemies around. You must defeat the floaty crystals in order to destroy the tree with the time needle. You will also need at least 5 magic feathers from Stryge to dispel poison clouds. If you start getting hungry, hurt, or thirsty, fly as far up a mountain as you can get, and that should be about far enough to breathe for a second.

As soon as the tree is defeated, get back to the garden as soon as possible, because the final battle against the final boss happens very soon after. Just keep flying around and fight off the wraiths that are spawned in; the boss will slowly make his way to your garden and will immediately destroy anything in its path. Eventually, the boss's shield will drop, and that is when you can finish him off. Until then, you just have to hope you prepared your garden well enough to deal with everything else.
Side Quest: Rejuvenating the Springs
To rejuvenate the springs, you must ask each area's god how to create an environment in which the local plants feel happy and healthy. Each god will task you with creating a mother plant of the respective local flora. Naia will ask you to make a mother sunburst tree, Stryge will ask you to make a mother witchwood tree, Gleb will ask you to create a mother oracle tree, and Oros will ask you to make a mother skytorch tree.

Naia's sunburst tree is the easiest, and you need Naia's power for all other ones, so start here. After the mother tree is made, you can get Naia's Lifeflame, which can be used at any spring in the dunes to reviatlize the life there. After Naia's lifeflame is given, you can now start all other sections as the gods will have their respective ingrediants for their own lifeflames. This can be done at any time, but it is probably easier late game. This all being said, in order to finish Oros's area in the mountains, you will also need to grow a skytorch tree in three temples using an item that Oros gives you, so don't plant any until you are prompted. The quest won't be considered finished until the trees are fully grown, so I would save this one for last, as it requires the most patience.
Obtaining Materials
Each of the following materials listed will be followed by where the best location to look for them is in.

Copper-> tops of cliffs in the dunes
Sandstone-> trenches of the salt dunes (or using Gleb's item on pathways and small rocks)
Flint-> Breaking small stones or digging bright spots near large rocks.
Plant fiber-> Dead plants (though large ones can mostly be brought back, so try to only destroy small things) or deadfall.
Wood-> Deadfall
Moon Glory Flowers-> The Canyons
Skytorch Tree-> Higher elevation mountain area
Umbrella Fans-> Break Umbrella Fungus through use
Monument Shelves-> Monument mushrooms

(If anyone asks about anything else I probably add it here)

Thank you

Pearls are found in large amounts in the salt flats near Stryge, in the canyon bits at the bottom (you need to dig them up with a spade).
Granite is dug up near granite rocks. They look a lot like copper deposits, but are more reddish. I've found a few near Gleb's area, up on cliffs, but I'm fairly sure there are more in other locations.

Love how succinct this guide is. You can kinda cheese the "Tree of Life" battle (pre-Sellan) by skipping the Time Needle upgrade and clearing out the region. The Turret Outposts should still have a shield on them that prevents them from hitting the players... and I think the wraiths spawn slower or fewer.

No real need for the resource guide, though. Good addition at the end, I suppose. :D
