How to launch the game

Launch Portal: Revolution using a url
Copy and paste this into your browser bar:
steam://rungameid/601360
Press enter and the game should launch.

(You can replace the number with any steam game ID. Typically shown in the URL of the store page)
Launch Portal: Revolution using Steam
  1. Launch Steam
  2. Go to your library
  3. Search for
    Portal: Revolution
  4. Leftclick on the game
  5. Press the green "PLAY" button

Alternative
  1. Launch Steam
  2. Go to your library
  3. Search for
    Portal: Revolution
  4. Rightclick on the game
  5. Press the green "PLAY" button
Launch Portal: Revolution using Steam's tray icon
Your most recently played games are available for quicklaunching in the Steam tray icon.

  1. Make sure Steam is running.
  2. Left or Rightclick the Steam icon in the bottom right of your taskbar.
    (You may have it hidden under the arrow instead)
  3. Click Portal: Revolution and wait for it to launch.
Launch Portal: Revolution using the Steam Store
Make sure you have Steam installed and are logged into steam on your webbrowser.

Alternatively, press Install Game or Play Now on the widget below. If clicking doesn't work, drag it to a new browser tab.

Launch Portal:Revolution using Windows Explorer/Run
There are two similar ways to do this.
1 Explorer
1.1 Directly launching
  1. Copy this (CTRL+C)
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Steam\Portal Revolution
    Or this
    %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\Portal Revolution\bin\win64\revolution.exe
  2. Paste (CTRL+V) it in the top bar of Windows Explorer (Win+E)
  3. Press enter and wait

1.2 Clicking to launch it
  1. Copy this (CTRL+C)
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Steam\
    Or this
    %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\Portal Revolution\bin\win64\
  2. Paste (CTRL+V) it in the top bar of Windows Explorer (Win+E)
  3. Press enter
  4. Search the list for "Portal Revolution" or "revolution.exe" and double click it to launch

2 Run

Huh, this is actually one of the few "How to launch game"-style tutorials I've read that aren't just "Click the play button, idiot."

In File Explorer, I go to This PC, then my computer's main drive, then users, then my user, then AppData, then Roaming, Then Microsoft, Then Windows, Then Start Menu, Then Programs. You should be able to see a Steam folder in the Programs folder. Inside the steam folder, you should then be able to see shortcuts for all of your games. If you click on the one for "Portal: Revolution" The game should open. If you don't want to go through all the work to find the folder, or if you just can't find it, you can just put "Steam" in the search bar in File Explorer and it should show up.
