Guide to getting all achievements. The guide skips all the intermediate achievements that you will receive automatically after completing the storyline. There are 8 chapters in the game and you will get an achievement for completing each one.

There are no missable achievements in the game. You can return to any episode at any time. The guide describes the checkpoints where you should start the chapter. Achievements in the guide are listed in chapter sequence to get 100% in one playthrough.

From the main menu you can always select a specific chapter and episode. Episode selection is only available after completing a chapter.

Chapter 1
Smear your dirty fingers over Aperture's beautiful glass


Chapter 1. "Advanced Cube Mechanics" episode.
To get this achievement, you must touch the warning marker in 5 different locations. The achievement is cumulative, you don't have to complete the episode. Just touch the marker and leave. If you did everything correctly, you will be notified about the progress of the achievement. The markers are in the following locations:
  • Chapter 1. "Advanced Cube Mechanics" episode;
  • Chapter 2. "Conveyors and Ventilators" episode;
  • Chapter 4. "Power Switches" episode;
  • Chapter 6. "Vacuum Tube Examination" episode;
  • Chapter 8. "Final" episode. Control room №3.
In the guide, these locations are described in their specific sections.
Chapter 2
Deplete the conveyors' supply of Weighted Storage Cubes

Chapter 2. "Conveyors and Ventilators" episode.
Throw 16 cubes off the conveyor belt.

Chapter 2. "Conveyors and Ventilators" episode.
Just after the fan is turned off, in the location with the conveyor. You can get to the glass by going a little further. At the cliff where there is a turret, follow the pipe to the glass.



Blow up a test chamber sign

Chapter 2. "Bombs?" episode.
Place the portal so that the bomb explodes the sign.
Chapter 3
Take a shower under one of the gel cleansing fields

Chapter 3. "Gel Cleansing Fields" episode.
Get dirty yourself with blue gel and then stand under the water and wait there for 1 minute.
Chapter 4
Complete the Chamber 4-9 without knocking over any turrets

Chapter 4. "Turret Playground" episode.
Take cover behind cubes to avoid turret fire. Run over only if you have regenerated your health. You don't have to do everything without mistakes. You can load an unlimited number of times.




Get the ball in 4-10 to land perfectly in the socket

Chapter 4. "Excursion Funnel Flings" episode.
First, cover the surface near the cliff with gel. Then transport the ball. Leave the button when the ball is at the very top, with maximum speed the ball will go straight into the socket.



Fling in an endless loop in Chamber 4-11

Chapter 4. "Cleansing Field Loop" episode.
Fly through these 2 portals several times for the achievement.



Deplete the gel supply in Chamber 4-11

Chapter 4. "Cleansing Field Loop" episode.
Destroy and then summon more than 10 cubes. On the 10th time a cube without gel will fall out.

Chapter 4. "Power Switches" episode.
Don't boost yourself. Fall out of the portal right up to the glass.
Chapter 5
Complete Chamber 5-1 without destroying any turrets

Chapter 5. "Vacuum Tubes Introduction" episode.
Pick up the turrets and rotate them. Don't let them flip over. A turret is alive if it shines a red laser and starts firing at you. Place a portal near the turret and pick them up through the portal. You don't have to do everything without mistakes. You can load an unlimited number of times.

Chapter 6
Solve the Chamber 6-2 twice

Chapter 6. "Vacuum Tubes Reinforcement" episode.
After completing the chamber for the first time, you will need to get to the iron staircase using the portal. Go upstairs and place the lower portal in the chamber room, jump into it and complete the chamber again.


Stare at Conly's mannequins for a really long time

Chapter 6. "Spire Climb" episode.
Just after completing chamber 3, after lights out. As you follow the storyline, don't miss it. Stay 1 minutes near mannequins.

Activate the bridge and use it to jump to the marker.
Chapter 8

Place the turret, jump on it, and from it to the glass.

On the BULLSEYE achievement do not cover the ball with gel or it will bounce

Yeah, tried it again just now thinking maybe I just needed to try again another day but it still isn't updating. Maybe I already touched it on my first playthrough? But I looked at the achievement in Steam and it's listed at 0/5. I vaguely remember getting that updated progress on the first playthrough but not seeing it now.

I love that I needed to look up this guide for specifically the 6-6 achievements because when I first completed the stage I didn't use the orange gel at all (I got white gel on the ceiling and did a loop and shot the wall to the right to bounce off the blue gel in the middle.)
