Mega Man X4 - Achievements
In this section of the guide I will detail how to get each of the Achievements in Mega Man X Legacy Collection for the Mega Man X4 game.

He Brought Fists to a Mech Fight
Use a Ride Armor to score the final hit against Magma Dragoon in Mega Man X4.
In order to get this Achievement you must first grab the Ride Armor earlier in the stage and bring it with you to the end when fighting Magma Dragoon. I would suggest exiting the Ride Armor in the center area when the fight begins, and to use Double Cyclone until the Boss is low on health, getting back into the Ride Armor only to score the final few hits. This is effective because the Ride Armor is immune to damage when you aren't in it.

Fourth Armor
Obtain all four armor parts in Mega Man X4
You have to obtain all four armor upgrades from each of Dr. Light's Upgrade Capsules in the Mega Man X4 game. Please refer to the Mega Man X4 - Upgrade Capsules Subsection of this guide for the locations, requirements, & strategies to locating the four Upgrade Capsules.

It Ain't Ova Until It's Nova
Use Nova Strike to score the final hit against a boss in Mega Man X4.
First you will need to obtain the Armor Upgrade for an Upgrade Capsule in Magma Dragoon's Stage. Once you have this make sure Nova Strike is fully charged by taking damage from enemies until the Weapon Energy for it is full. From there head to any boss, weaken them until they are low on health, and then nail them with the Nova Strike for the finishing blow.

Pew Pew
Fire fully charged shots of all X's weapons in a single playthrough of Mega Man X4
Pretty straightforward except you will need to Fire fully charged shots with the X-Buster using both of the Arm Upgrades found in Storm Owl's Stage.

Way of the Saber
Use all of Zero's special saber techniques in a single playthrough of Mega Man X4
Pretty straightforward, use all of Zero's Special Saber Techniques in one playthough of the game. Only one of note is probably Tenkuuha as you need to block an enemies shot with your Z-Saber.

Fully Charged
Obtain the EX Item and have max. lives, energy, weapon energy, and full Sub Tanks in Mega Man X4.
In order to get this achievement you must first collect every upgrade in the game, and have defeated all 8 mavericks. From there you must fill your Sub-Tank's & Weapon Energy Tank completely, as well as collect the Maximum of 9 Lives. To do this quickly head into the Frost Walrus's Stage and from the stage start immediately climb up following the upper route to its end point to find all sorts of Energy, Weapon Energy, and an Extra Life. Once you have collected all of it use Escape to exit the Stage, then go back in and repeat the process until everything is full.

Legacy Collection - Tips & Tricks
In this section of the guide i will go over any Tips & Tricks that would be helpful for players while playing Mega Man X Legacy Collection.

Dash Wall Jump
The Dash Wall Jump is an advanced technique that allows the player to get extra speed & distance when jumping off a wall, its very useful when fighting Wheel Gator, or Climbing in X-Hunter Stage 1, in Mega Man X2, and can be used to obtain a Heart Tank in Spark Mandrill's Stage in Mega Man X.
The Dash Wall Jump can easily be done by holding the Dash Button, then Jumping while sliding down a wall. If you are having difficulty try remapping the Dash Button to the L or R Buttons, this should make it much easier.

Abusing Invincibility Frames
Whenever you take Damage for a brief time afterwards you will become Invincible to nearly all forms of damage, this even protects you from Instant Death Hazards like Spikes and Lava and can be used to stand on them for a very short time and can give you a chance to recover. Just make sure your not still standing on any Hazards when your Invulnerability runs out.

Air Dash After Sliding Off A Wall
Its possible to Air Dash after sliding off a wall, this is used to get several upgrades, including the Upgrade Capsule in Wheel Gator's Stage in Mega Man X2.

Jump On Water
In Mega Man X2, & Mega Man X3 its possible to jump off the surface of any water. The timing for this can be a bit tricky, but its used to get a number of difficult to reach upgrades impossible to reach otherwise. In the case of Mega Man X2 you will first need to have the Bubble Splash Weapon, & the X-Buster Upgrade as you will need to use a fully charged Bubble Splash in order to Jump On Water, thankfully in Mega Man X3 this can be done from the get-go, and you won't need any upgrades to do so. It can be utilized to obtain a Sub-Tank in Bubble Crab's Stage in Mega Man X2, and a Upgrade in Toxic Seahorse's Stage in Mega Man X3.

Fill Up Sub-Tanks Quickly In Mega Man X2

You will need both the Silk Shot, and the X-Buster Upgrades once you have them head to Bubble Crab's Stage. Once you encounter Sea Canthller, it'll open a gate leading downward, slide down the leftside wall, and head into a hidden room. Charge up your Silk Shot inside this room and it'll pick up lots of energy, and can be done repeatedly by Charging up the Silk Shot again. This is the fastest way to fill all 4 Sub-Tanks.

Fill Up Sub-Tanks Quickly In Mega Man X3
Sub-Tanks can quickly be recharged in Mega Man X3 if you have the Head Chip, or the Hyper Chip. They will refill automatically if you leave the game idle unpaused.

Fill Up Energy Tanks Quickly In Mega Man X4
Head into Frost Walrus's Stage and from the start climb up the wall and follow the path at the top, up here there is tons of Health, Weapon Energy pickups as well as an Extra Life. Once you have collected everything Escape the stage and return to repeat the process until your Energy Tanks are full.

Blow Them To Smithereens
In Mega Man X3 Bit,Byte, and Vile MK-III can be destroyed early if you use a Special Weapon they are weak when landing the final blow, this changes the bosses found in Doppler's Lab and destroying Vile MK-III is an important step when attempting to to obtain Zero's Saber. Vile MK-III in particular can be found at the start of Volt Catfish's Stage. There is an elevator leading down that activates after destroying 2 Boss Mavericks.
