Overview:
Entropy: Zero is a free-to-play fanmade Half-Life mod (dependency on Half-Life 2: Episode Two to launch) game developed and created by Breadman.

A sequel to the game has been officially announced, named Entropy: Zero 2 where you take the role as an Overwatch Elite unit, making it one of the few games where the player takes the role as a Combine unit, and not the opposition.
Story:
A Metrocop's transport train has crashed with all his other fellow officers dead leaving him stranded. Now the Metrocop is left with his own devices in City 10, which has been abandoned by the combine due to an epidemic of the CFLU. However, there are still Rebels and Zombies the Metrocop has to deal with to carry on.
Plot:
  • Chapter 1: Interloper
Somewhere in the Outlands, a member of Civil Protection known as Unit 3650, takes part in a raid on a resistance hideout. After successfully eliminating all the rebels and seizing their supplies, Bad Cop boards a train bound for City 17.

However, the train crashes on the outskirts of City 10, killing everyone but Bad Cop. After making his way through the underground tunnels, Bad Cop arrives in City 10, which has been abandoned due to an outbreak of CFLU, with the exception of a few rebel strongholds.

  • Chapter 2: Dead Tenant
After making his way through the streets, Bad Cop infiltrates another rebel stronghold riddled with turrets. After sweeping the main building, Bad Cop comes across a Metrocop captured on the top floor. However, after rescuing the captured CP unit, Bad Cop is knocked out.

After being dragged outside, the captured Metrocop is revealed to be Barney Calhoun, who was working for the Resistance. After being driven to another rebel outpost, Bad Cop is then thrown down a hole and ends up in an abandoned underground area with dead Overwatch Soldiers.

  • Chapter 3: Low
Bad Cop wakes up and makes his way through an abandoned underground train station, shooting his way through numerous hordes of zombies and headcrabs until making his way to an abandoned Combine bullet transport depot. After defending himself against another horde of zombies and making his escape, Bad Cop lands on an electrified floor, causing his night vision goggles to malfunction.

With his goggles temporarily out, Bad Cop relies on a Stalker as his primary light source along with some flares. After escorting the Stalker through a couple of rooms in the underground tunnel and shooting his way through more zombies, Bad Cop's headset reactivates. He then arrives at another bullet transport depot and rides a bullet train to a Combine facility known as "Pillar 10", a citadel-like structure which was taken over by Vortigaunts.

  • Chapter 4: Bad Cop
After going through a ventilation tube, Bad Cop ends up in one of the deeper areas of the facility. After shooting his way through numerous Vortigaunts, as well as a Vortigaunt-controlled Combine Hunter, Bad Cop discovers a device known as the Quanticode, which was the source of power for Pillar 10. After destroying the machine and killing the Vortigaunts' leader, Bad Cop becomes frozen.

Sometime later, Bad Cop wakes up in Nova Prospekt where the Advisors, who have watched the video feed recorded by his helmet, explain that he has been granted mandatory promotion, by transferring his consciousness to a host body for preservation so that his clones shall serve the Combine as Elites. Bad Cop lets out a loud, painful scream as the process begins.
