Miki Notes: Cultivation Glossary and Guide
By Mikitchi
A guide to help with character creation, attributes, weapons, skills and disciple needs.

This is a collection of information from The Lost Village that I wish someone told me before I started the game. This is also a list of notes I gathered for my friends and I figured everyone else can use it too!

This is a WIP as the game is in early access.

Introduction
The Lost Village is a sect management game with 4 minigames to reinforce the resource gathering aspect. You manage disciples while they run around the map with the intention of leveling up their cultivation.

The four minigames so far are: Trial Tower, Illusion Entrance, Dungeon and Sect War. These minigames you play as a sect leader and bring other cultivators with you on these adventures. You have to bring the sect leader at all times. The rewards are resources needed to improve the sect, feeding into the sect management game.
Attributes
You start the game with a sect leader who is immortal and you can choose attributes for. This disciple is immortal. All the other ones are not and will require a Life Elixir to extend their Lifespan. Don’t worry, it’s easy to get.

These are the general attributes:

STR - Strength: affects Attack and Defense.
WIS - Wisdom: affects Skill Attack and Skill Defense.
ATK - Attack: affects damage to enemies

DEF - Defense: affects the damage dealt by the enemy’s general attack
TD - True Damage: affects damage that ignores defense
SPD - Speed: affects attack speed

SKL - Skill: affects Hit Rate, Dodge and HP
DODG - Dodge: affects the probability of avoiding enemy attacks
H.RAT - Hit Rate: affects the probability of an attack hitting an enemy
HP - Health: affects health

CRT - Critical: affects critical rate
CRR - Critical Resistance Rate: affects the probability of being critically hit by enemies
C.DMG - Critical Damage: affects damage from critical attacks
Disciples State / Needs
These are your disciple’s needs or their “State”
STA - Stamina: Energy that your disciples use to do all the tasks
MTL - Mental: sometimes called Mind, some work tasks drain this
SOC - Social:
ADV - Adventure:
SEN - Sense:
ENT - Entertainment:

Buildings that restore states:
STA
- Bedroom: can be buffed with Spring decor
- Dining Hall: can be improved with Foodstand decor
- Paradise: also increases disciple limit
Mental
- Tea House: keep planting better tea to improve
- Zither Room: can be improved with Pine but Tea House is better
Social
- Tea House: keep planting better tea to improve
- Apron: requires Social Token but Tea House already fixes this
Entertainment
- Gazebo (currently bugged) but the devs know so it might be fixed soon
- Library: requires Scriptures (crafted by MagicOrb)
- Arena: requires Puppet (crafted by MagicOrb)
Sense
- Elysium
Adventure
- Departure: literally sending out disciples to adventure
Character Creation Advice
These are some things I wish I knew ahead of time when making my first sect master, along with some ideas on concepts you will use later on in the game.

1. Character Name
This is where you would type your name. The dice is a randomizer in case you don’t feel like coming up with a name. It’s better to not use very long names as it skews the text boxes and it mentions your name.

2. Gender
There is male, female and a checkbox for trans. The image for your character’s photo art changes as well. It’s an awkward translation and it needs further clarification.

There is a game system called “Dual Cultivation” and you need someone of the opposite gender to do this with. Rather than just gender, think of it as Yin and Yang combining and cultivating. Dual Cultivation is a way to get more experience and your sect leader gains many benefits and options around aside from dual cultivating. If you select the checkbox and then pick male, you can have a female avatar and cultivate with females.

3. Aesthetic
These are choices for your character’s profile photo. There is an elixir in the game to change the photo later on called “Disguise Elixir” so you can use it in case you get tired of your face.
Taoist Body
From this point on, you will have Taoist points to use. These are similar to skill points that you can allocate as your starting point when making your sect master.

It would be best to refer to the earlier description on attributes to help you decide which body to choose. The bonuses occur when a disciple breakthroughs or increases their cultivation to a higher level. It would be best to turn off the feature for breakthrough for disciples you want to perfect the stats. The button is right beside the breakthrough button.

5 COST:
Mortal
Weapon: Long Sword
- breakthrough: all the attributes get a slight increase
- when this body is in the Incarnation level, it gets a lot of Sense attribute

Take note, you can also change the body by gifting an elixir although I haven't tried it myself.
Trait
This section has traits that you can spend Taoist points on and are pretty self-explanatory considering the contents of this guide. There are a few ones that haven't been mentioned before that I will briefly explain.

Potential: This is extra stats that your disciple can spend their traits on. There will be decoration statues that you will be able to build that the disciples can train and use their potential to get attributes.

Spirit Stones: This is the money or main currency in the game. It is used for experience, herb/plant farming, crafting elixir, trading, breakthroughs and many more. However, you don't want your sect leader to mine all the time, do you?

Cultivation Speed: This is a multiplier of experience points your disciple has when they interact with anything cultivating related.

Other than that, feel free to mix and match which traits that you like.

You can also craft items that will give your disciples traits. The cheapest one is random while the more expensive is the ones around attack, defense, damage etc.

Also, when you Dual Cultivate with partners, you can take their traits as well so don't worry too much about this section.
Experience, Disciples and Location
This section is also easier considering the explanations earlier. There are now only a few new terms left.

Broken Page: it is a resource, just like spirit stones but it is easy to farm these.
T.DMG: True Damage
Sword Essence and Martial Arts: I don't know. HAHAHA

As for the disciples, pick whichever you like but from my experience, I prefer disciples that a better attitude (You can check this in the relations tab later on) but for now, feel free to review what the game gives you and spend those Taoist points wisely!

Finally, the location. For your first location, you can only have a deer (Rainbowsteg) Divine Beast and the Relic location. Once you complete a few Taoist quests or progress through the tutorial, you can earn a bit more Taoist points and restart your game once you're more comfortable with the game mechanic and the game loop.
Final Thoughts
It took me twelve hours for my first playthrough although I didn't do much reading as I should. I really love this game and I hope more people will not find the game intimidating and play easier with this guide that I made.

As this game is in Early Access, there might be changes soon so this guide will be irrelevant but I hope it helps others and that more people will try the game. This is my first guide so I hope I can get better in the future. Please let me know in the comments on what I should add or improve and thank you for reading this far!

@Ih8U

And for future readers Sense is a resource like stamina, certain jobs use it and having low sense means your cultivator will need to restore it more often.

Make cultivation level matter. How is a ascension realm x getting destroyed by ants? What's the point of cultivating your characters to max if none of it matters when trying to conquer other sects? The enemy at nascent-tribulation realms destroying maxed out ascension and tribulation realms. It makes no sense. The ai spits out ridiculous amounts of enemy as if unconstrained by resources while player has to wait for perfect roles and waste time over and over again.

Thank you for the guide! Could you please explaine (if you know) What Sense i s for? I have tried the game and there was information regarding elixirs. Is there some stat that limits your ability to consume them? Or every disciple is the same regarding elixir use? Thank you in advance.
