Adventure Diary—Below the Stone(0.3.1)
By Paprika
Preface
Firstly, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the developers of this game (hereinafter referred to as BTS) for their hard work, otherwise there would not have been this diary. Secondly, it should be noted that the main purpose of this diary is to continuously share personal gaming experiences, which is entirely based on the feeling that I think it may be a pixel game with constantly enriched content and worth experiencing (although I suspect developers may have already completed some of them in advance and planned to update them in stages, but no matter what, I am looking forward to it!). Finally, if you are willing to read, this diary can also serve as an informal guide for you.

BTS WARNING
Please note, as described in the preface, this is not a formal guide. This means that if you have never played BTS before, the content in the diary may be difficult for you to understand or may spoil some content! Please stop reading! Alternatively, you can explore BTS on your own for a period of time through the built-in beginner tutorial or other existing guides in the community.

Okay, if you are as excited about BTS as I am, I will tell you everything you should know below!
Friend X
"Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue."

Before officially starting this diary, I would like to introduce an old friend of mine to you. For convenience, let's temporarily refer to him(her) as X.

One day, I came home from work and was about to play my PS90 after taking a shower when suddenly my iPhone 3000 rang. It's X.
Here are some of the contents of this conversation.
  • M:
    X?Is there anything wrong?
  • X:
    Rika, are you at home?
  • M:
Of course, I was just about to play my PS60!
  • X:
Oh Rika, listen, you can't imagine what I went through today. Oh my god, I'm almost ... (For the next 3 minutes, he was recounting his gaming experience about BTS that day)

If I were to describe the above content, an overview would be as follows:

Due to the game mechanism similar to Tarkov, game players will lose all equipment, including backpack items, after the character dies. When this situation occurs, human gamers will experience three different stages of reactions due to physiological influences.

When the situation occurs, players realize that a series of reasons, such as unfamiliarity with new combat scenes, failure to switch weapons and equipment in a timely manner, insufficient medical supplies, or incorrect operation of characters, have led to the death of game characters.
    1. The player will enter the First Stage and deny it. Usually at this stage, the human player's blood vessels will contract, blood pressure will rise, and phenomena such as faster heartbeat, muscle contraction, dilated pupils, and protruding eyeballs will occur.
("My game character is dead? I really can't believe it's all true, oh no!")
    2. The second stage followed, helplessness. Players who cannot admit to reality often fall into despair and fear, often muttering to themselves (or in their minds!)
("Do you know that my 5 golden keys and xx equipment are all gone? At that time, I kept asking myself, what should I do? That's really too bad!")
    3. Finally, the third stage, self-consolation.
("But just thinking about it, it's not really that big of a deal. Fortunately, there's still something in the bank, i can play another round.")
  • M:
(I paused for a few seconds)
  • X:
    Hey, say something!
  • M:
Well, okay! (I paused for a few seconds again) I'm glad to hear you say that! Hahaha~~
  • X:
Oh my god, Rika, you the despicable bas***...... You're a f****** genius~~~ Rika, you the sun of beach.

So, after a brief exchange of "greetings" between the two sides. I happily hung up my iPhone 2000.

What, you also have such a good friend like M! Oh my goodness! How lucky you are! This world is really too small, isn't it?
Items and Rewards
In BTS, the vast majority of basic items require you to actively collect or craft them, which will not be repeated here. And the most exciting part of the game, I think, should be opening treasure chests.

Treasure Chest
The treasure chest contains items that you cannot obtain through active crafting.
  1. Wooden Treasure Chest

You can usually find them in Skeleton's Nest, Kobold's Nest, Blue ogre's Lair, and some special locations.
Of course, if you are lucky enough, you can also meet them in the road you are traveling on. : )
  2. Red Treasure Chest

You can find it in the Blue ogre's lair.
    Or in the wild~

  3. Treasure Chest Monster
The only thing I can tell you is that green may also be the color of poison.
PS:Please pay attention to the treasure chest hidden in the ore layer~

The Golden Key
The golden key is the only way for you to open the red treasure chest.
The way to obtain the golden key
  1. Wooden Treasure Chest
    (I have nothing to add.)
  2. Treasure Chest Monster
    : )
  3. Bomb Boy
The reward for defeating the Bomb Boy is fixed, with a golden key and another item.

  4. The Blue Ogre

After defeating the Blue ogre, the number of golden keys you can obtain is usually greater than or equal to 0. (Yes, believe in yourself, you're not mistaken. It's the number zero, not the letter O.)
Some Tips
About Map
If not necessary, please keep the Map in the bottom right corner open!
Because it may clear the path records you have already walked after being closed for a period of time.

About Lodestones
  1. In BTS, each layer can be understood as composed of four squares with sides of 512 units.
Basic knowledge of coordinate systems and angles is necessary. It can help you identify the direction of the target area.
  2. It will not provide you with any assistance until you can correctly grasp and apply the knowledge points in the first explanation, and find the target location.

  3. Three different colored indicator arrows in total.
    • Red

    • Yellow

    • Green
      /Temporarily missing/

About Torches
In the process of exploring mineral layers, dim light usually weakens your perception of the surrounding environment, whether it is treasures or enemies hidden in the dark.
  • Torch

  • No torch

About Blue ogre's Lair
If you find an unbreakable wall with a thickness of approximately 5 units, you have also found the Blue ogre's Lair.
But sometimes it‘s not at home~~~

About Exits
  • Escape Pod
(It means literally, I don't want to add anything~~) O_O
By the way, in some cases, you can usually avoid combat to some extent by standing in a corner of the designated range.

  • Magic Vortex
You can summon it by defeating the Blue ogre.

  • Hole
    (It's everywhere.)
You can enter the next ore layer through it (or the magic vortex), but please do not attempt to return to the kingdom through it. You can have a try, I think this bug will be fixed in the future.
To Developers(in production)
(❁´◡`❁)
Looking back now, I still believe that meeting X was a fantastic experience. When I first learned to walk, I only felt two things pushing me below, one on the left and one on the right. Then I came to an obstacle that I had never seen before. It was smooth and flat, and I couldn't push it, but it was brighter than any obstacle I had ever seen before. I continued to explore, poking and touching here and there, and after a while, I suddenly realized that something was moving inside, and it seemed to be synchronized with my actions. I took a few steps back and raised my head... it was a smiling face that I will never forget in my life!

Thank you for reading!

I don't oppose your viewpoint. That's also why this guide is stuck at version 0.3.1~

But fertilizers often nourish flowers! The important thing is the experience. Give them some time, and we will get more!:etgpilot:

Love this format, hearing someone's raw input of the game and just seeing your journey through the game.

I don't think I am familiar with the history of game development, and some of my statements are not very rigorous. Thank you for your correction~~

(What? How dare you mock me!!!
Oh my God, please forgive him! He's just a child!!!

Tarkov mechanic?? Umm no... It's a roguelite/roguelike mechanic. Tarkov does not own this genre and it definitely didn't start the genre. This genre goes all the way back to retro gaming. Tarkov mechanic...lmao!! I stopped reading as soon as I saw that.
