Comprehensive Guide To The Hanged Man Achievement For Dummies.

I've seen lots of guides on this mission, and all of them have some good take-away points as well as stuff that's completely useless. So, I'm going to weigh in on the equipment you need, as well explaining WHY you need said equipment.

Primary Weapons
Your primary weapon does not matter. Equip whatever you want, and in your equipment slots, just remove ALL of the ammunition from this weapon, as you won't be using it anyway. No need to equip the beanbag shotgun, or any specific weapon. The weapon in this slot does not matter a single bit as long as you don't fire a bullet from it, and you can't do that if you remove all of the ammunition.
Secondary Weapons
Your secondary weapon also does not matter. Equip whatever you want. As stated above, repeat the step of removing all of the ammunition from this weapon, as you will not be able to use it anyway.
The Bash
First and foremost, there are many people confused on whether the bash is the battering ram or the shield. Let me help confirm to you that the bash is the shield bash. You must use the shield.
The Taser
ONLY EQUIP ONE TASER. I don't know whether it's a bug in the game currently, or what the problem is, but each taser has 4 magazines of ammunition. I tried this achievements with 9 tasers at first, then moving down to 4, realized I had the same ammunition in 4 as I had with 9, so changed to ONE, and low and behold, I had the same amount of ammo with a single taser equipped that I did with 9. At the current point in the game, you are only able to use ONE taser, which has 2 shots per magazine and 4 magazines. So you only need ONE. Equipping more than one is simply using up tactical spaces that can be used for your flash bangs.[/b]
Flashbangs
However many tac-slots you have left after equipping your ONE taser and removing all ammunition from your weapons, use the rest to fill up your inventory COMPLETELY with flash bangs. These are going to become your most useful tool. Even more so than the taser, as the taser is going to be your backup weapon (I'll explain later).
YOUR AI SQUAD
From my understanding, your squad can be carrying anything. However, for MY run, I saved my load out after putting on the specified things above as "The Hanged Man" and then equipped it on every single one of my teammates. Don't worry, it's not really going to matter much anyway, because you are going to find that your AI Squad is pretty much useless for the sake of anything except being a meat shield in this achievement anyway. They primarily hold their secondary or primary weapon, or secondary with shield, and because they have no ammunition, all they can do is scream at the enemy across the map and they can't shoot. They can only flash if you direct them to, which will be useful later but in a lot of moments on this map will be completely useless because there is a lot going on with very little time to react.
Special Notes Regarding MODS
IF YOU ARE USING THE GUNFIGHTER MOD SUITE, MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE YOUR ANTI FLASH GOGGLES AND YOUR GAS MASK FROM YOUR TACTICAL LOADOUT AS THEY DO COUNT AS ITEMS EQUIPPED THAT ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE USED. YOU CAN EQUIP THEM IN THE FACEWEAR SECTION INDIVIDUALLY, BUT USING THEM AS A TACTICAL SLOT VIA THE GUNFIGHTER V1.3 MOD, IT WILL RENDER YOUR RUN NULL AND VOID, SO REMOVE THEM.

I would RECOMMEND running a mod that allows you to carry more tactical equipment slots than the default allotment. I use a mod that gives 30 slots. However, there are numerous mod makers that make different versions. The Gunfighter suite gives you 20, there is one that gives you 90 somewhere, etc. I would highly advise finding one of these mods and using it.
The Execution
There's two ways to do this. You can do it with your AI Squad, but please understand that your AI squad can do things autonomously that jeopardizes the mission. When you execute them to clear an area, they can pick a lock which renders the attempt completely useless. You absolutely for any reason CANNOT pick a lock and get this achievement. You can't even use the default lock pick that the game gives you to manually pick the lock. If the door is locked, you have to either kick it, or if your legs are broke, find another way in. For this reason, I Opted to leave my entire squad in spawn using the hold command on gold team and did the mission completely solo.

YOU ARE ALLOWED to run NVG's. The headgear you are wearing has no effect on the result of the achievement. I did it using NVG's, which I would advise on this map, as it's a night map.

Here is where I get into how to do the mission. I found it easiest to clear the entire container side of the map completely from all angles before proceeding forward to the building. So, work your way forward, Clear around the first container and the guard shack. The use of your shield and flashbangs when clearing areas is crucial. You hold your shield out and slightly peek a corner. If there are enemies there, you back up, and throw a flashbang over an object dividing you and the enemy. When the flash goes off, you THEN push in to subdue the target. Because of the AI morale system. Sometimes the enemy will try to get back up. THIS IS WHERE YOUR TASER COMES IN. YOU WILL ONLY USE THE TASER TO RESUBDUE TARGETS THAT ARE ATTEMPTING TO GET BACK UP TO SHOOT YOU. This will ensure that your taser has enough ammo to last MOST of the mission.

You WILL Ultimately run out of taser ammo, for the rest of the targets in which you do not have taser ammo to approach and subdue, simply throw a flash bang at their feet as you are going to arrest them and they will not get up to attack you.
Let me also add a special note here that the quick-swap button for your taser is the number 4 key on your keyboard, not 2. You can get to your taser by pressing your secondary weapon's key bind twice, but it moves directly to the taser if you just press 4.

Do this methodically clearing the container side of the map first, then the fuel depot, then the tower that connects to the warehouse, THEN GO BACK OUTSIDE ALL THE WAY OVER TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE MAP AND ENTER THE BUILDING THROUGH THE FAR LEFT DOOR. This gives you minimal exposure to the enemies in the warehouse. Once you enter the door, go left and go behind the black plastic covered items. You will then go from there to the center of the map where the opening in the crates are and the forklift is in the middle. You will use this area to minimize your exposure to enemies and then make your way to the far end of the warehouse and clear the enemies there. Once you have subdued all of these enemies, there will be one or two enemies near the front door next to the office container that has the stairs that go over the top of it. Once you clear these enemies, the only enemies that should be left are going to be inside of the container holding the auction PC's.
You should get Order to Chaos upon completing this.


Once you do this, you will go BACK OUTSIDE and get the containers containing the drugs, weapons, and the container containing the trafficked girls. This ensures you can do these tasks without being blind sided by an enemy to your back.

Once these tasks are done you will have hard completed the mission, automatically be sent to the scoring screen and unlocked "The Hanged Man" Achievement.

Tasers no longer work like described in the guide. Now you get 6 shots per taser, 2 shots per reload. So with 1 taser you get 6 shots, 2 gets you 12 shots, 3 gets you 18 shots and so on. So taking more tasers will work now.

@alsymiya I covered this in the guide. See the "AI SQUAD" section... it states that you CAN do it with your AI squad, but the squad may do something along the way that renders the run void. Picking a lock, using a door breaching device, pulling out something that isn't allowed, etc... Which is why I advised to do the run with the AI squad in spawn.

I used 80 flashes with a MOD, and all my AI teammates use the same equipment as I am:
89flashes, 1taser and shield. One TeamAI dead. I finished the mission and went to the scoring screen, but I did not unlock the achievement.

@alsymiya yes, I did this entire mission completely by myself with the AI teammates left in spawn. So yes, you can cuff them yourself.

So, you can cuff suspects yourself? I mean, I even saw a guide saying you should let AI do everything, cuffing included. But this game is so glitched that the AIs do not respond to your "restrain" order. It seems like you can do the cuffing, which may make my life 100% easier.

@Alsymiya I'm not certain on this. Which is why I said in the guide that I have also read that, but in my case, I equipped them with the same gear I had.

I saw people saying that you can bring lethal weapons to ai teammates and let them fight for you. Is that true?
