what mod even does
so this is an attempt to redesign the gameplay and also do whatever i think would be cool along the way.
almost all the fights were reworked or at least modified and weapon progression is faster.
Weapons were rebalanced. Enemies got changed parameters as well.

Most of the invisible walls were removed, feel free to fall out of the level if you want so!
Also some visual changes like new particles and water which doesn't feel like it's glued to screen.
Also strafe jumping or something like that now exists...
some random stuff like new vechicles, secrets that are not marked as secrets, enemy riding, new CRATE physics idk, i was just doing something?

Optional changes!
In default version of mod some enemies(Orc Footballers and Rhinos) were mostly replaced with Cucurbitos and Werebulls from next encounter,
if you want only original ss2 enemies, use optional files (more about it in "Installation")
Also informing you that cucurbitos, kamikazes and werebulls animations were stolen from classic enemies pack by SilverRenvoo
Installation
Works with game version 2.100 (20th Anniversary Update)

1. Download and open the archive - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XMhKw3m-0P0bueDv2vswe2YDZ7jvEQ7h/view?usp=sharing

2. Put "Content" in your "Serious Sam 2" folder (\Steam\steamapps\common\Serious Sam 2)

3. If you want put .gro files from "optional files" folder to folder "SS2ResomethingEncounter" "Serious Sam 2\Content\SS2ResomethingEncounter" more about that in downloaded archive

4.Open the game and mod already should work

current version - 1.09 released 14/10/2025

if you are updating from 1.07- before installing new version make sure to delete RE07.gro form
\Serious Sam 2\Content\SS2ResomethingEncounter
if from older versions probably just delete everything and reinstall

i still think it would be neat to be able to use those akimbo powerups throughout the game for players (like myself) who find being able to dual wield at anytime to be a difficulty breaker, especially since alot of these encounters are much less sloggy and more balanced.

could also make for a good addition for levels that dont feature serious damages like m'keke village, the swamp levels, branchester, boneyard and few others

without any of the additional .gro files they're just called their regular SS2 names

I did notice that if you have any of the optional .gro files installed it does change weapon names like the "flamer" gets called "sawblade launcher", "grenade launcher" gets called "MK4 Grenade Launcher", and so on

steak jacobs, that circular saw gun is called flamer because it replaces the flamethrower that was added for mappers in version 2.090. also that is wierd how lizard riding dont work properly anymore, it worked before:steamsalty:

The dual wielding powerup doesn't work for me, was playing without sprinting or dual wielding enabled

Also can I friend you? I have some stuff I want to share about the mod if that's alright

nah i think thats probably the only one, i didnt put a lot dual wielding powerups because game anyway has dual wielding option now
