Now we want to have a begging run at least up till the point where you feel like you are rich enough to start trading on your own. So we are going to start by selling off everything in our inventory for the worst deal possible. so take your entire inventory and ask for 1 loaf of bread. then gift that loaf of bread back to him.

Now that you have no items the game will take pity on you and try to make sure you always have about 15 copper worth of stuff on hand to trade with, but we are not after stuff oh no we are after coins for you see we are a beggar and are not really interested in really trading in items.

So what we are going to do it beg for 15 copper 1 coin at a time then trade in the copper for silver to a non merchant character at a slightly better rate and beg for the rest of the copper until we have a value of 15 copper in value then we are off to see the world.

You should probably conceal your coins at this point even though you will have 15 copper coins worth the game still knows you have it but it can still be advantageous later on.

See the world but I only had a common map. Don't worry a traveler of the kingdoms such as yourself will have it open up to them freely.

You should have 2 silver and 3 copper now you can head to Kai as soon as you can.

You arrive at Kai and are instantly greeted with your next quest. Demand half up front. and you will be given 25 black pepper a map of the west and 2 large sacks.

Trade the map of the west for 7 black pepper 18 salt 14 cloves 6 nutmeg.
Trade both for the sacks for 3 hot peppers.
Trade everything for 8 silver coins and 7 copper coins.

Our total should not be at 8 silver and 10 copper.

It is now time to head to our next destination Ingress Rock.

Well you are already becoming quite the globetrotter lets see with this next guy wants. You start off by meeting the king of thieves. You can accept his quest and ask from some silver for letting him borrow your flowers if you want to come back to it later. But honestly we are only passing through this town so pack up as soon as you can and head to the next location of Kazuujan.

Welcome to Kazuujan. where you will be greeted by the blacksmith. It costs 6 gold coins to meet the dragon so we will not be doing that today. But don't worry because we have bigger plans. Getting paper from Shikyomo plans.

Your only in this town is to trade 7 copper for 1 silver coin.

You now have 3 copper to your name and will be freezing your butt off in the frozen northwest town of Egilsdottir.

Meet the necromancer for your next quest there are some dialogue options here.

Ok so at this point we are going to be ignoring her request and i will go over that in a bit later as to why. If it was not obvious the reason is because you are kind of broke at the moment. Don't worry any color legendary crystal you can buy later in the game will still grant you access to the draft later on in the game. But you just set yourself up to get 2 scepters of necromancy later in the game which are worth about 70 gold each instead of just 50 gold which would of been her initial offer.

If you do come back and get the reward for this quest later in the game you can offer the 2 scepters of necromancy to buy the king of thieves vote in the king of coin election. This is going to be worth more to you long term then just selling the 2 scepters of necromancy in trade.

Ok lets take stock of our inventory 3 copper coins 1 legendary crystal and 1 legendary map to the citadel. Now we are going to need some silver to continue traveling on since we already looked at the map upon acquiring the map so it can be sold as well as the crystal. Don;t worry you can get a different crystal later.

Trade the crystal for 22 gold coins.
Trade the map for 10 gold, and 17 silver.

Now you could of sold the map for more gold however we need silver to travel with so we are actually going to sell off some more of our gold here.

Currently we are at 32 gold coins, 17 silver coins, and 3 copper coins.

Trade 17 gold coins for 125 silver coins.

Currently we are at 15 gold coins, 142 silver coins, and 3 copper coins.

While we are here we can spend 1 silver and 3 copper for a fated star but that will not complete the quest it goes to properly so we are going to just be moving on to the citadel.

24 silver that is highway robbery... You think to yourself... i am just a humble beggar trying to get to Shikyomo. At this rate i will be ruined. You reflect on simpler timers when i you use to have things real things like snail statue a chicken and some onions and even a few potatoes, but now it has come to this. You have not eaten in days, and the few specks of spices that were your only forum of substance from that trade back in Kai are long gone from your fingertips. You try to peel one of your gold coins to see if there is chocolate inside but alas it is solid. Anyways welcome to the citadel.

When you arrive at the citadel you will be asked if you are here for the draft. Since you do not have the entry fee anymore clearly you are not come back on a Friday to enter the draft with a legendary crystal if you want to enter it.

Incantato will ask you for help trying to catch the shapeshifter 1st inquire about a reward then agree to do it you will be given the tracking amulet which you can just conceal away in your inventory for now.

Syrilla is one of the merchants here she should have a stall already set up in town click on it to trade with them and they should have a rare map of the war buy and sell it as it will not be given to you.

(we are not going to be going where this map unlocks right now but it is nice to have for later. and you have more sliver to travel with at the end of this trade.)

We are now off to our next destination Hollow lake.

Upon arriving in hollow lake Darjus the painter offers to sell you 2 paintings,

Buy the 1st painting for 2 silver coins.

Buy the forgery for 2 gold coins and 1 copper coin.

We will want to find a merchant in hollow lake who has a map of the fray next Henry Adams has it he should have a stall set up in town. Buy it from him and sell it right back.

Trade 1 gold coin and 1 silver coin for 2 medium baskets, and 4 large baskets.
(You may not need these baskets yet but they will not cost you in travel like pack horses do so mind as well get them while they are being offered they will help later when you start trading in Shikyomo.)

A small note when it comes to efficient storage the 3 baskets and the large wooden chest are the most efferent so it is a good idea to pick them up when you see them later on.

Upon arriving in Riverton you are met by the local auctioneer. he proposes that you collude with him to sell an item at a higher price you can accept but he will not offer you any more then the initial offer for 1 extra gold per bid you make.

To make your conclusion not look suspicious lets trade a bit.
Trade 1 copper for a chop. (before you can take a bite.)
Trade 1 chop for 1 rice. (at least it is something.)
Gift 1 rice back to the auctioneer. (ah come on I am starving here.)

Don't worry about the auction to much at the moment with enough gold later you can just come back and win or loose the auction later up to you really.

The real reason we are in Riverton is to get rid of the forgery. Wait we are actually going to complete a quest? Yep. Oh boy. Wait it is obvious you are not going to feed me till we get there but you could of at least let me look at a painting of food.

That map of the fray sure came in handy if we had to go through Ascension it would of cost a fortune so a slight detour up north it is then.

You should not try to swindle her out of an extra 50 silver as she may not offer free potions later on. To actually complete this quest you need the amulet of life from the draft. The fated star plant will not help.

Trade the map of the west for 1 gold coin, and 7 copper coins.

Let's not dilly dally in Eldham harbor any longer Shikyomo awaits and it is our last stop on our tour.

Finally after such a long journey i though you would never get here but you did and all on other peoples coins for the most part.

Upon arriving in Shikyomo you are greeted by a friendly guard who kindly reminds you of the rules of the land coins are banned here well at least if you show them to any soldiers or nobles. Kano is kind of cool with it but not really. as well as magic items monster parts and weapons. So keep them concealed. You are offered 3 sapphires if you turn in any resistance members, but why would you ever want to do that? Without the resistance it would defeat the whole point of coming here which is all about that paper yo. Now that we are here we have access to sign of resistance flyers.

Learn about the resistance and then agree to distribute Ryuko's flyers.
Sure i will distribute these. (+ 10 signs of resistance)

And that is it you made it all the way to Shikyomo as a humble beggar. go head and get some food in your belly or whatever.

The main reason you came here is because Ryuko will have new sign resistance flyers every day that she is pretty happy to get rid of in trade with you. Which you can then sell off to others for a profit.

Ryuko's stall is set up in town so make sure you trade with her every day for more sign resistance flyers. Spread the flyers not to the guards or nobles of course and you will not only help the cause but also enrich yourself along the way. You can even sell them to people in other towns.

You can grab horses and more baskets while you are here but remember to lighten your load before you leave or the travel fees will get pretty expensive pretty quick.

Ok was handing out flyers not enough paper for you well ok now you can make some real paper you should trade on your own for a bit at this point but once you feel like you have helped the resistance enough head to Ascension.

Provided you handed out the initial 10 flyers without getting caught and did not turn anyone in you will also unlock smuggle goods from Shikyomo in your company options when you get to Ascension.

Anyways time to make you a historic stock broker.

Now the short answer for how to technically win at Ascension is to make the following trade as often as you can.

Trade 71 gold coins to the soon to be former king of coin for 1 company stock. Must final offer.
Trade 1 company stock to any king or queen for 140 gold coins. Must final offer.

it can be a bit tiresome as king and queens do not pop up in the costumer rotation every day but when they do it is worth it to have some company stock on hand.

It should be noted that Arthur also has a limit of about 120 gold coins worth that he will buy 1 stock at.

Everyone else you can sell stock to at a profit varies a bit. But so long as you follow the general idea of so long as you get back in value more then you paid for it then you should be fine. i will list some common high value items that will come up while you are trading for stock so you can gauge what is worth what.

Legendary elixir of life 12 gold coins.
Legendary blue tears 10-12 gold coins.
Legendary potion of brilliance 6 gold coins.

Massive gravestone worth 6 gold when you sell but can be bought for 2 gold coins and 2 silver coins. Why am i listing this it seems such a low value item but honestly it comes up a lot and it is more then a 50% return on investment and is usually a quick flip.

Crystals should be valued by you between 13-24 gold coins the darker the crystal the less it is worth.

Rubies 22 gold coins.
Sapphire 6 gold coins.
Emerald 4 gold coins.
