How to do Soft Objectives (a complete guide) + DLC
By GralgarTheWolf
Welcome!

13th of December, 2023, Ready or Not got it's 1.0 update - that was truly a glorious day!
And so it brought us an enormous amount of new stuff, including so called soft objectives, which are useless in general but are necessary to get S ranks in this game (people rarely care about lore and 100%ing the game)

UPD 2024.07.24: added info about Home Invasion DLC maps
UPD 2024.12.11: added info about Dark Waters DLC maps
UPD 2025.07.16: added info about Los Suenos Stories Update maps

Important things before you start
Talking about getting S ranks - you can get them in multiplayer, but for the achievements VOID Interactive are forcing players
TO COMPLETE SINGLEPLAYER ON ALL S RANKS
to get achievements corresponding to each mission completed

Was fixed after DLC update, now you can get achievements even playing in multiplayer.
YIPPEE!!!

There's a new thing you should really take to an account: with release of Dark Waters DLC, devs decided that game had became too much sportive, so they added feature what everyone was worried about - THEY BROUGHT PENALTY FOR LOSING A TEAM MEMBER TO MULTIPLAYER
Not that it's a groundbreaking thing, the reduction of 100 points for dead team member existed from the beginning, but exclusively for singleplayer, meaning only bots lives matter, now it's in multiplayer too, which may or may not be of a huge problem for teams gathering up to deal with some missions on S rank.
Note: all S ranks are made here not to simply flex, it was never main idea, I was trying to prove people that it's true and there are exactly as many soft objectives as I say, and best solution for me seemed to do S ranks when I will not forget a single thing meaning I will not have to do it all over and over again just for good shots (yes, some of DLC maps don't have these for now, will be fixed as soon as I will have time - and will - doing that)
And with new glitchy and uh... "provocative and creating a lot of confusion" AI, all I can say to everyone of you -
Good luck, either you are Ready or Not
All about maps from basic game
Thank you, come again! (aka 4U Gas Station)
There's only 1 soft objective
Report a wounded veteran - if you enter through store side, take a right door pass near storage

Example of S rank:
23 Megabytes a second (aka San Uriel Condominiums)
There are 3 soft objectives
Report an illegal cryptofarm (2 floor)
Report a SSD in streamer's room near keyboard
Report some porn pictures in streamer's room near bed

Example of S rank:
Twisted Nerve (aka 213 Park Homes)
There are 2 soft objectives
Report cash on table
Report wounded minor on bed

Example of S rank:
The Spider (aka Brixley Talent Time)
There are no hidden objectives, good for us!

Example of S rank:
A lethal obsession (aka Sullivan's slope)
There is only one hidden objectives on this map.
Some files in the hallway

Example of S rank:
Ides of March (aka Brisa Cove)
No soft objectives here, and thank god, honestly - with all these booby traps this would be a headache!

Example of S rank:
Sinuous Trail (aka Mindjot Datacenter)
This mission has no secret objectives, good for us!

Example of S rank
Ends of the Earth (aka Kawayu Beach)
Only one secret objective here
Report bag of cash

Example of S rank
Greased palms (aka Los Suenos Postal Service)
There are 2 soft objectives on this map
Follow the blood path and report body
Report illegal weapon delivery and Freeman's crowbar (search the truck parking on the other side of the map from starting position)

Example of S rank
Valley of the Dolls (aka Voll Health House)
There are 2 soft objectives
Report some CD's with porn in one of the first room near start
Report weird porn room in the basement

...or table in the red room right before it, works all the same

Example of S rank
Elephant (aka Watt Community College)
There are no hidden objectives here.

Yet I must admit - a combination of Active Shooter and Bomb Threat is a horrible one (from POV of dude who existed back when alpha and beta testings of the game were at full capacity and remember the old "test" features)

Example of S rank:
Rust Belt (aka Costa Vino border reserve)
There are 2 secret objectives here
Report confiscated Mexico passports
Report the barge deep in the tunnels

Example of S rank:
Sins of the father (aka Clemente hotel)
There are no hidden objectives on this level.

Unless... we need to find and cuff Victor Zakhaev before he will shoot himself... hmmmm...
(added from Chinese version of the guide: "Then there should be a nuclear bomb on next level")

Note: there were confused people not understanding what the flock is going on, well, I bet you just didn't play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to understand such a humor

Example of S rank:
Neon Tomb (aka Neon Nightclub)
No secret objectives here either, lucky us!

Example of S rank
Buy cheap, buy twice (aka Caesar's car dealership)
There are 2 hidden objectives
Report weapons in one of the garages, or alternatively, as mentioned by MatisProto, you can report any of these - drugs and money
Report documentation in the offices (or the whiteboard, works all the same)

Example of S rank:
Carriers of the vine (aka Cherryesa farm)
There's only one soft objective
Report some paintings and a map inside the first big house (says it's conspiracy evidence, well, I'm too stupid to understand such a thing, for me it looks like bunch of papers and paintings, like any subculture have)

Example of S rank:
Relapse (aka Coastal Grove medical center)
There are no hidden objectives.

Example of S rank:
Hide and seek (aka Port Hokan)
There are 5 (!!!) soft objectives
Report weapon storage container - there will be like few different yellow containers with some spider spray on doors, lit by some light, check every single one of them and you will find the weapons
Report drug storage container - find it same way as weapons (correcting by 8tails)
Report slavery auction - in the warehouse 13, deep inside, in a makeshift "living" area for the product behind the containers (hint by 8tails)
Image is cut by censorship
Report container with missing persons - full of naked women, yellow container as with weapons and drugs (hint by 8tails)
Close the container - simply close that container, no idea why, but on radio we will get a direct order from some random person, who will say us to do so... well, who we are to disobey orders on radio, right? (hint by 8tails)

Example of S rank
All about maps from DLC #1
Dorms
Only 1 soft objective
Report drug paraphernalia (second floor, in one of the rooms), hint provided by SavageCore

Example of S
Narcos
3 soft objectives
In the first house near spawn zone - report hidden files (idk why hidden files if we report PC but fine), hint provided by DanielJT
In that same house near spawn zone - report a crime scene (a chair with blood on it and a car battery, meaning someone was tortured real hard there), hint provided by DanielJT
As you left first house - go to the right, enter the closest door with white decorative fence and look left, then report a crime scene (they killed poor doggo, bastards)

Example of S
Lawmaker
No soft objectives

Example of S
All about maps from DLC #2
Mirage at Sea (aka The Seraglio)
Two soft objectives
As you start - go up to the main deck (or at least I think it is one) and there will be a big guest room, after which a staircase and a number of doors - from some of the rooms, including kitchen, you may access the other rooms through the doors with transparent plastic strips (aka "plastic curtains"), you probably seen these in some restaurants or in storage areas, in one of those rooms will be a body

Can also be randomly in the opening at the machinery (engine) room at lower deck
As you proceed through the ship you will stumble upon a trail of something red, follow it to upper deck 1 and find a big puddle of ketchup, which you have to report; alternatively can be found in one of the corners at engine room, technical deck below front of the ship

Example of S rank:
Leviathan (aka Heavywell A-101 Rig)
1 soft objective
As you explore the place you may find a room with the oil drill itself, you recognize it by seeing big cage-like window on second level, if you approach the console on that second level you can disable the drill and make some tiny desk Dallas scream "PIECE OF ♥♥♥♥ DRILL!!!" (a bit of PAYDAY franchise vibes)

Example of S rank
3 letter triad (aka The Elysian)
No soft objectives

Try blowing up the wall in the toilet, it has markings so you'll know if you looking at right wall or not

Example of S rank:
Hunger strike (aka Chico's mexican restaurant)
2 soft objectives
When you start the map - go to the far left from the outside of the restaurant, you'll see a van with a box, come closer - there will be lots of weapons inside, presumably the ones that attackers took with them to do the job
When you get to the second floor - go to the furthest room with CCTV monitors, there will be bags of "potential evidence"

Example of S
Stolen Valor (aka Edgeware apartments)
This map has 1 soft objective
Report huge, enormous exhibition of guns on second floor

Example of S
