Greetings, heavily armed felons! So allow me to express minor annotations before we come to the fun part!
1. There are currently no Perk or Skill Instructions!
2. I created these Build instructions for fun and educational purposes. And I don't have to add this for legal reasons, I actually want to share this with people who are also obsessed with cool guns and high-profile mass shootings!
3. You will need some mods to get the Beta C Mag for the M16. If you dont want mods, then you can perfectly do the modifications of your firearms without them! It's really just cosmetic...

The North Hollywood shootout, also known as the Battle of North Hollywood, was a confrontation between two heavily armed and armored bank robbers, Larry Phillips Jr. and Emil Mătăsăreanu, and members of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in the North Hollywood district of Los Angeles, California, United States on February 28, 1997. Both robbers were killed, twelve police officers and eight civilians were injured, and numerous vehicles and other property were damaged or destroyed by the nearly 2,000 rounds of ammunition fired by the robbers and police.
After LAPD radio operators received the second "officer down" call from police at the shootout, a tactical alert was issued. An LAPD Metropolitan Division SWAT team (Donnie Anderson, Steve Gomez, Peter Weireter, and Richard Massa) arrived 18 minutes after the shooting had begun.

The Officers found their handguns and shotguns would not penetrate the body armor worn by Phillips and Mătăsăreanu. An officer was heard on the LAPD police frequency approximately 10 to 15 minutes into the shootout, warning other officers that they should "not stop [the getaway vehicle], they've got automatic weapons, there's nothing we have that can stop them." The robbers splittet and Phillips was then shot in the right hand by Officer Conrado Torrez, causing him to drop the pistol. After retrieving it, he placed the muzzle under his chin and fired.
An LAPD Metropolitan Division SWAT team eventually arrived with higher-caliber weapons. Mătăsăreanu's chest armor deflected a double tap from SWAT officer Anderson, which briefly winded him before he continued firing. Anderson fired his AR-15 below the cars and wounded Mătăsăreanu in his unprotected lower legs; he was soon unable to continue and put his hands up to show surrender. Mătăsăreanu died before the ambulance and EMTs were allowed to reach the scene almost 70 minutes later.

Due to the large number of injuries and rounds fired, equipment used by the robbers, and overall length of the shootout, it is regarded as one of the most intense and significant gun battles in U.S. police history.

The two main AKs used by the gunmen were Chinese Norinco Type 56S rifles illegally converted to full-auto, though both guns were fitted with Romanian side-folding stocks and Phillips' AK was fitted with a Global Trades "reverse donkey dong" vertical foregrip.

You want to add following modifications:
1. AK Wood Grip
2. Folding Stock, like the Romanian folding stocks.


A Heckler & Koch HK91A3 was used by Phillips during the battle; fitted with a 30-round magazine and a factory telescoping stock. It was their only rifle not converted to full auto.

Get Single Fire for the rifle. Since there is no telescoping stock for the G3, you can use the rifle as it is. You could attach the Retro Grip, but to unlock it you have to do the "Not Today" achievement!


After dropping the HK-91 he drew a Beretta 92FS pistol, and began firing. He was then shot in the right hand, causing him to drop the pistol. After retrieving it, he placed the muzzle under his chin and fired.

There is no steel finish for the Bernetti 9, but you could add "The Elite Slide" to evoke at least half the fun lol.


Later, Phillips reaches into the trunk of the getaway car and grabs a Norinco Type 56 S-1 under-folder (in the United States, the gun was sold in semi-auto-only form as the SA-85M), also fitted with a 75-round drum magazine.

You want to add following modifications:
1. Auto Fire, since all their rifles were converted illegally to full auto except for the HK
2. AK Wood Grip
3. AK Quadstacked Mag, or you could download a drum mag mod


Phillips wore a Type IIIA bulletproof vest and groin guard and several pieces of homemade body armor created from spare vests, covering his shins, thighs, and forearms.

Dress to kill with the Improved Combined Tactical Vest! You must first unlock the Iron Man Enforcer skill tho.


Phillips wore roughly 40 pounds (18 kg) of equipment, including a load bearing vest with multiple military ammo pouches.

They had nearly 3,300 rounds of ammunition! If you ace the Ammo Specialist Enforcer skill, you are well-prepared for the party!



Although optional, you can wear "The Classic" outfit with the "Dust Devil Sienna" skin, which is as far as you can get in recreating his outfit. Wear black gloves (each man had a watch sewn onto the back of one glove, in order to monitor their timing.)



What would a bank robbery be without a ski mask? Thats right, Dog Day Afternoon but that's for another guide. However, to unlock the Balaclava you have to reach Infamy Level 11 because the mask is infamous. Good luck with that lol!

Mătăsăreanu used a Bushmaster XM15 E2S "Dissipator" carbine that had been retrofitted with M16A1-style hand guards and a CAR-15/XM177-style stock. It has a 17.25" barrel and the Beta C Mag.

Now we come to the best part! Add these modifications without letting the ATF know:
1. Auto Fire
2. Blast From The Past Handguard, what a fitting name
3. 100rnd C Mag (the mods are linked down below!)
4. Wide Stock

Mătăsăreanu had no Sidearms but you could use one of Phillips sidearms.


Mătăsăreanu wore only a Type IIIA bulletproof vest, but included a metal ballistic plate to protect vital organs.

As you can already see in the picture, he is not wearing a full-body suit but "only" a heavy flak vest. Since his vest goes down to his hips, it's up to you whether you wear a Flak Jacket or a Combined Tactical Vest!.
