Plot №1
  • The main character of Little Nightmares II is a boy with a paper bag on his head named Mono. The game begins with him having a dream in which he sees a long corridor with a door at the end. Before the door is shown in close-up, the boy wakes up screaming in the forest near the TV. He gets up and then begins his journey around the surrounding Wasteland.

  • Walking along it, Mono comes across many corpses of animals and people killed by hidden traps, which soon become dangerous for him. Having neutralized some of them, the boy reaches a hut, in the basement of which he finds a girl still alive, sitting on the floor and listening to a music box.

  • Despite Mono's attempt to help the girl (who is Six, the main character of Little Nightmares), she pushes him away and runs away. Following her, Mono sees several effigies made from murdered people, and then catches up with a fugitive who unsuccessfully tried to get into the attic. Realizing that she cannot survive alone, Six accepts Mono's help, after which they together open a passage to the attic, where they find the key to the door leading to the backyard.

  • When they pass the hut, the children are noticed by the owner of the house - Hunter, who takes them for new targets for creating fresh trophies and sets off in pursuit of the heroes. However, despite his attempts to kill Mono and Six, the latter manage to lock themselves in an abandoned barn and then shoot at the Hunter with the gun they found.

  • When the danger has passed, Mono and Six emerge from the Wasteland to the seashore, where they find a torn off wooden door. Using it as a raft, the children floated across the water, and after a while they realized that the Wasteland was not the last dangerous place, when the outlines of the buildings of the Pale City appeared through the fog. The door with the children docks on the beach, after which they go ashore and go into one of the houses.

  • Walking through the destroyed apartments, the main characters come across a TV, which suddenly turns on and begins to have an extremely negative effect on Mono. The boy, writhing with a headache, approaches the device and tunes the transmission, resulting in the corridor from his dream, but before reaching the end, Six pulls him away from the TV, causing the boy to come to his senses. When the TV can no longer harm them, the children leave the house and head to the nearby School. As they walk through the school corridors, deadly traps are first set off, which the children narrowly manage to avoid, and then they are attacked by porcelain children. They throw the student's locker onto Mono and take Six away to an unknown location, leaving the main character alone.

  • Realizing that there are a lot of aggressive children in the School, and deciding to save Six from the bullies, Mono begins to arm himself with the first objects he comes across, with which he kills a large number of Hooligans, breaking their porcelain heads. During all this, Mono encounters the local Teacher - a woman who can stretch her neck to any length. She soon notices Mono and begins to interfere with his attempts to save his friend, but this did not stop the boy from finding Six, tortured by the Hooligans, freeing her and successfully escaping with her from the School, at the last moment almost falling into the teeth of the Teacher.

  • By the time the children got out of the School, it began to rain heavily outside. Since Six is dressed in a rag dress, she begins to freeze and get wet, but soon in one of the alleys the children find a yellow raincoat, which the heroine puts on and subsequently travels in it.

  • After some time, the children run into the Hospital, where Mono finds a flashlight, which he immediately uses in the rather dark rooms of this building. In one of these, Mono stumbles upon another TV that is turned on, which he also tries to tune, but this attempt also ends in failure. While the children are trying to find a way out of the Hospital, they meet its prisoners, such as amputated, but at the same time animated hands, which Mono kills with cold steel, and light-sensitive Patients collected from prosthetics, against whom he uses the found flashlight, temporarily immobilizing them. Descending to the lower floors, the heroes meet the Doctor, “treating” his Patients.

  • Hiding from a new enemy, the main characters make their way through wards and morgues, solving puzzles and opening doors. During one such process, Mono and Six are spotted by the Doctor, after which he begins to chase them, knocking over wardrobes and beds in an attempt to catch the fugitives. However, the children manage to deceive the Doctor and they lock him in an oven for cremating bodies, where, depending on the player’s decision, they can burn him or spare him, and then in any case they calmly leave the Hospital.
Plot №2
  • Next, the main characters find themselves in the residential areas of the Pale City, where they see many strange people with distorted faces, dependent on televisions scattered throughout the area, most of whom kill themselves in front of children. Since they have all stopped reacting to the world around them, they do not attack the children first, thanks to which the latter calmly pass through the apartments. Soon, while on the rooftops, Mono and Six see the Black Tower towering over the city, broadcasting a transmission that distorts the entire world. After this, they end up in one of the houses, where the ceiling collapses. As a result of this collapse, Mono loses his flashlight, and Six is almost crushed by debris, but the boy helps her get out. And after some time, he and Six find a third strange TV, in which this time Mono manages to reach the door at the end of the corridor from the dream and open it, seeing behind it a tall and thin man in a hat. The sixth once again pulls the boy away from the TV, but this time the receiver does not turn off and the Thin Man comes out of it and begins to chase the children. They try to hide from him, but Six fails, and in front of Mono, the Thin Man finds and kidnaps the girl, leaving her Chaotic remains. In an effort to help Six, Mono once again approaches the TV and teleports through it to another apartment.

  • Wandering around the Pale City, Mono finds a remote control with which he controls the televisions, thanks to which he begins to move faster, heading towards the main building of the entire city - the Black Tower. Not without difficulties, Mono manages to hide from the Spectators, miraculously avoiding death from a crowd of these monsters in one of the stores, in which the boy accidentally blew up the kinescope of the TV that the Spectators were watching. Immediately after this, finding himself in an abandoned apartment, Mono finds Six behind the screen of another TV and is already trying to help her. He almost pulls her out of the screen, but at the same time the Thin Man grabs the girl and drags her even deeper into the void, and he comes out and begins to follow the boy through the apartments of the house. At first, Mono hides from him under the floor, but then the Thin Man finds him again in one of the corridors, and, distorting space, almost catches up with the boy, who at the last moment escapes from the building by breaking the boards in a boarded-up window.

  • Having escaped from the building, Mono ends up on the intracity railway, where the Thin Man begins to pursue him again in an abandoned train. Mono successfully escapes from the monster and at the last moment unhooks one of the cars, on which he successfully leaves for the subway. However, upon arriving on the subway, the car stops abruptly, which is why Mono almost dies, gets severely injured and breaks the TV remote control. Having difficulty coping with the pain, the boy rises and sees in front of him the chaotic remains of the Sixth, who with signs lead him to the stairs leading up through the drainage.

  • Having reached the surface, Mono finds himself on the street, right in front of the Black Tower, and then the Thin Man appears in front of him again. Finding himself in a hopeless situation, the child removes the bag from his head, and when a figure looming in the distance approaches, he stands up abruptly and launches a stream of energy at his opponent, beginning to fight the Thin Man.

  • During the battle, Mono throws the Thin Man back several times, and he gets up and tries to grab the boy again and again. Their powers are so great that during the battle the entire city is distorted in space and even destroyed by the energy emitted by their blows. In the end, the Thin Man, having fallen once again, can no longer get up, no matter how hard he tries, and then dies, dissolving into thin air. Having killed him, Mono distorts the space in front of him and moves the Black Tower towards him, after which he goes inside the building.

  • Inside the tower, Mono sees many doors and stairs illuminated by a pinkish glow and then hears music. Following the sound, he finds a game room with a giant music box and a huge monster, which eventually became Six. The boy understands that to defeat her he must break the box, so he hits it several times, first with a mallet and then with axes, although not immediately, since the monster began to react aggressively to Mono and defend his toy. However, Mono still breaks the box by hitting it six times, after which Six returns to her usual appearance.

  • Returning to her previous state, Six wakes up and looks at Mono until Walls of Flesh and Eyes appear around them. The children begin to run away from this monstrous mass, and, at the last moment, Six runs across the collapsing bridge and catches Mono. However, she is in no hurry to pull it out, but instead, after a few seconds, she unclenches her hand and releases Mono, and then leaves through a portal resembling a TV screen.

  • Waking up from his fall, Mono finds himself right on top of a biomass of flesh and eyes. Having walked forward a little, the boy sees a raised platform with a chair standing on it. Mono climbs onto a chair, and at that moment biomass begins to rapidly surround him, which, however, disappears just as quickly, and the boy finds himself alone in the pink-lit room where the Thin Man had previously sat.

  • Much time passes, and Mono matures, eventually becoming very similar to his predecessor, and the color of the room's lighting changes to blue. At the end of this scene, we are shown him sitting on a chair in his room, most likely waiting for more victims, before the door closes again, revealing the same corridor that Mono previously saw in his dream.

  • In the secret ending, which can be unlocked by collecting all the Chaotic Remains, Six flies out of the TV into a room where she is greeted by the Chaotic Remains, who become Dark Six. They both notice a poster on the floor with a Womb drawn on it before the other one disappears into thin air. The scene ends with Six feeling very hungry, foreshadowing the events seen in Little Nightmares.
