Hi there!
First of all I would like to dedicate this guide for my friend Baron $crub Von Rekington and basically all the people out there who are struggling to get the hats they want or just want to become rich in TF2.

IMPORTANT:This is my method on making it to the riches, I can't guarantee that this method will work for everyone.
I made a new account specifically for trading so if you look at my trades you will not find anything of these methods.

Alrighty then. To start off there are some things that you have to make sure before begining.
First: You need to have patience! I had numerous occasions when I struggled to sell an item for days!
Never give up! I didn't get my Bill's in 2 days.
Second: You need to know your way around. Let me explain the currencies:
Scrap metal: Obtained from crating two class weapons together, it is worth 0.11
Reclaimed metal: Obtained from crafting 3 scrap metals together, also known as rec, woth 0.33
Refined metal: Obtained from crafting 3 reclaimed metals together, also known as ref, worth 1.00
Okay these ar the basic currencies. Now some basic mannerisms:
Always start with Hi!
And don't say what do you want?, instead use How may/can I help you? or What would you like?
And last but not least always say Thank you or thx,Thanks!,ty.
Alrighty then you are read to proceed!

Now, the next step to make trading more comfortable for you and the customer use www.tf2outpost.com , it is a trading site that works like e-bay or something similar you have to login with your steam account (Don't worry they will not steal your account).Don't only use outpost,go on trade servers too for speeding the process up. An other site that you mut use is www.backpack.tf this site is very helpful for determining prices.
If you are using outpost and you dont want people to add you or just want a fast and easy trade use trade offers (Note: I personally like if I can add the seller so we can negotiate etc. so it is also good if you say in your trades: add me or send trade offers) If you dont know how to get your trade offer URL
here is a quick tutorial, Go to your profile->Inventory->Trade Offers->Who can send me trade offers
->Who can send me trade offers->Copy and paste URL to the description of your trade on outpost.

So here you are! Step 2.
From now on the guide will be very very brief. Step 1 was the longest page don't worry about your eyeballs melting out from reading.
This step involves scrapbanking if you are not familiar with this term let me explain.
Scrap banking is selling your weapons for 1 scrap or 2 craftable weapons each and also buying 2 weapons for 1 scrap this method is small profit but it is guaranteed! Dont worry you won't have to use this method for too long. So do this method until you get at least 1.11-1.33 refined metal.

Tip: Search for players with mann.co caps and such because these players are usually new to the game so 70% of the time they will buy weapons.

And the moment you've been all waiting for! HATS!!!!
So this step is the most important in my opinion.
All you need to do is buy craft hats for 1.11 it may seem difficult but it is not too hard to find a guy who wants to sell for eg. his nanobalaclva. That's where you come in! Ask him to sell it for 1.11 or 1.22 (You decide) When you bought the hat go and sell it for it's full price and get profit!.
Now please be patient not every guys want to sell his precious hat for 1.11 if they are not willing to just move on. Do this method untill you get a desired amount of metal (I would say perhaps 4 refined metal).Moving on!

So this is the final step guys.
For this step you will need negotiation skills as your tool to get profit!
What you want to do is look for guys who are selling hats, trade them and negotiate on the price of their hat use bp.tf and lets say you are trading with a guy who is selling a Tyrant's Helm.

The Tyrant's Helm's current price is 1.66 (clean) you need to buy the hat for minimum a rec cheaper so you can get 0.33 profit on it. Use your skills to negotiate a lower price with the trader try to convince him. The more they want to sell the hat the less they will sell it for. You can use this for any item in tf2 taunts,cosmetics etc. Repeat this until you got your desired amount of metal.
