Open the game folder (\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2042)
Right click on blank space and create new txt file
Open with Notepad or Notepad++
Paste following code:
GameTime.MaxVariableFps 240 WorldRender.TransparencyShadowmapsEnable 0 WorldRender.MotionBlurEnable 0 WorldRender.MotionBlurQuality 0 WorldRender.MotionBlurMaxSampleCount 0 WorldRender.MotionBlurRadialBlurMax 0 WorldRender.SpotLightShadowmapEnable 0 WorldRender.LightTileCsPathEnable 0 PostProcess.DynamicAOEnable 0 PostProcess.DynamicAOMethod 0 PostProcess.DofMethod 0 PostProcess.BlurMethod 0 PostProcess.HbaoBilateralBlurEnable 0 WorldRender.PlanarReflectionEnable 0 RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0 RenderDevice.VSyncEnable 0 RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0 RenderDevice.DxDiagDriverDetectionEnable 0 RenderDevice.StereoconvergenceScale 0 RenderDevice.StereoSeparationScale 0 RenderDevice.StereoZoomSoldierConvergenceScale 0
Save as -> Select all filetypes -> user.cfg

PROFSAVE_profile

Open Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings
Open the PROFSAVE_profile file with Notepad or Notepad++
Paste code from pastebin: https://pastebin.com/PeCLjtkf
Save file
Modify in-game settings to your liking

Results and Fix

These two steps should result in significant framerate improvements for most players. Some visual artifacts such as broken lighting in the main menu are to be expected but there aren't any that have a negative impact on gameplay.

If you want to restore main menu lighting for buying skins or other purposes:

Open console with ^ key on Iso keyboard layout
Paste WorldRender.LightTileCsPathEnable 1
Press enter and close console with ^

Alternatively you can also delete this line from the user.cfg file for a permanent solution.

I am now unable to move my mouse, I'm just stuck looking at the ground after doing both steps.

Diffchecker is very good for checking config differences. Find first "GstRender" line and go down from there to see which graphical settings it changes.
Just tried this out and seem perfect for juicing out all FPS, tho "LightTileCsPathEnable 0" makes some places (especially interiors) look weirdly lit or too dark.
Gotta test it out more tho :)

Makes the game actually playable on my Lenovo Legion Go. I am getting a stable and smooth 60FPS now with no stuttering. Thanks a Ton

Do I need to replace the PROFSAVE with the one in pastebin or add at the bottom?

for me it doest work anymore
when i played on origin client all was fine but not on steam
just save user.cfg in steamapps\common\Battlefield 2042 open game and nothing happened
