This mod requires: RE_Kenshi [www.nexusmods.com] & the original source mod.
The new sounds should be shown as loaded in the RE_Kenshi debug log as seen in the picture above (different soundfile name here; picture is from my other mod)


What this mod is

Thanks to RE_Kenshi it is now possible to custom sounds to Kenshi. While still limited by the way Kenshi works, it offers great possibilities.
This mod adds firing sounds to all muskets/flintlock rifles of the Shoddy Firearms mod. Currently there are 6 unique firing sounds for the seven rifles, the shoddy and improved flintlock rifles share the same sound effect. There is a also rather quiet "click" sound at the end of each animation, simulating cocking the weapon.

How this mod works

Even though RE_Kenshi is really black magic, there are FCS-related limitations.

While the actual shooting sound cannot be changed, the reload animation sound can and that is what has been done here. For bolt-action and other single fire weapons this is no issue at all, as the reload animation starts immediately after shooting; so the shot is heard right after the weapon was fired.

Other
- Sound fade off over distance and volume are not perfect, this will be fixed later
- Cut off sounds are fixed, the video still shows the older, shorter sounds

Couldn't recommend this more. The OG mod itself is fine - but the thunder crack of a bullet about to enter my opponent's skull couldn't be more satisfying

Hey, the guns never seem to make a sound for me for some reason, but the Tanegashima guns do. I think it's because I have a patch for Interactive World to integrate the Shoddy Firearms into the world. Do you think you could make a patch for it? I'll try and find it so I can link it here

la verdad lo intente instalar pero no entiendo que debo hacer lo extraje y todo pero salen 3 carpetas y hay me perdí estaría bueno un tutorial de como instalarlo por que no son muy específicos en la pagina de nexus mods

@ChunkyLober-01 Lowering the volume is actually no problem, but I'm on deployment until the end of the year and have no personal computer here to work on it. I might be able to get one within the next weeks.
@CHaos Marine I don't use the mod organizer, so no idea. But what I know is that this mod cannot harm a savegame in any way.
