I've made an alternate compatibility patch for the two mods
(https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3480270393)
that combines these changes with my own patch for the THG Turret pack that fixes some bugs with the original mod.

Got it. Thanks for the explanation. That does help explain some things I'm still trying to wrap my head around why they designed it this way, instead of simply getting rid of the override function entirely and just letting the load order of mods override content in previous mods by default. But I don't really know enough to criticize, I suppose. Barotrauma is still absolutely incredible.

I'm still trying to figure out why I generally (but consistently) have way less bug and performance issues when I load some dependencies last instead of first (e.g. LUA).

@Tychoid: Load order should be exactly like shown in the description. Mods load top to bottom and then it checks for overrides from bottom to top.
For an in-depth explanation of how overrides work in load orders refer to my explanation on the official barotrauma discord:

Load order is reversed in the actual in-game mod menu, right?
(e.g. mods at the top of the menu load last and override mods below them... mods at the bottom of the menu load first)
