Fortaleza

de_fortaleza is a demolition map created for Counter-Strike: Source, published back in 2016. This was the only project ever published by user Surreal25 on GameBanana until they suddenly vanished. I couldn't find their Steam account at all. They were also apparently part of a clan called EFFEN but other than a dead YouTube channel, I was not able to find any information on it. It seems anything relating about them and this clan has been lost to time, or maybe even deleted.

I wanted to preserve and remaster this map for posterity and out of nostalgia as I had grown up modding CS:S a lot with GameBanana. Many things have been updated and fixed when bringing this over to Garry's Mod, plus a whole lot of dealing with odd, almost amateurish mapping techniques.

This map is classed as a sandbox, thus the name is gm_fortaleza. I have a classic version planned that reverts back some of the aesthetic changes but will still keep a lot of the new, subtle additions I have done purely out of my own sake of better performance and faster compiles.
