Act 1
This section covers achievements that are bound to a specific level, following chronological order

Act1 - Prologue

Wrong Way
During Prologue, explore the woods


Solution: Just go left (in the woods) at the start of the level, the achievement should pop right away.



Don't tell me what to do
Complete Prologue without using Stunning Strike

Solution: This is quite straightforward: Prologue acts also as a tutorial, and after a few rooms you will be prompted to steal a round key from a guard (which you have to do), and in the room after that one to "stun" another guard. Just walk around the guard and proceed to steal the loot / move to the next room.

Act1 - Onyx

Not a pocket monster
During Onyx, lock the guard carrying the round key in the library

Solution: This one is harder that it may seem. The only way to trap the guard in the library is to follow him right when he enters (as he leaves the door open behind him). You can then steal the key and he will be trapped. Do note that for the guard to travel to another room, you will probably need to reach "Danger 4" level, as he will be roaming the same room according to his pattern under lower danger levels.



Act1 - Emerald

Solution: Going for this achievement prevents doing a perfect run as loot is behind doors requiring keys. The main difficulty is in the top, right corner room that requires a triangle key. The guard inside that room will wake up at danger level two and go for the door on the left of the room. Wait him out, stun him, open the lever and get out. You can then finish the level, grab the achievement and come back for the perfect run !






Act1 - Dream

Wake up
During Dream, alert a guard

Solution: Of course, in this level, all guards are facing a wall so they cannot be alerted just by standing in their way (otherwise where would be the fun ?). The key is to bump into a guard that you have NOT seen yet (so the automated blue/yellow path will not walk around the guard). Example from Zérodaim in the picture below.

Act1 - Topaz

Complete Topaz without a square key

Solution: As with the previous achievement, this one is not compatible with a perfect run. Giving up on the square keys mean you will have to use Besk's swap ability to get past a spiked-filled gap in the middle of the level. Ideally, swap with the red key holder, so Elaj can get the key while he is stunned and Besk makes a run for the treasure room. You can then run and swap back with the same guard if still there (or get Elaj to kite one). You leave through the entrance as you cannot open the obvious exit. Easy Peasy, spirit teasy.


Act1 - Amethyst

Round about
Complete Amethyst without a round key

Solution: Nothing too hard here in terms of puzzle, you just have to activate the right runes with Trin/Dumdum: make sure the barriers leading to the central, round-key locked room are UP, since you cannot get out of this room anyways. Without this central room the run gets a bit more difficult, but nothing impossible.



Strike gold
Loot the Secret Stash and escape

Solution: As with many solutions in this game, you have to look at the tongue-in cheeks hints written on the wall ! The hint "light" is fairly obvious once read. In the room next to the gold, have Trin activate the top, left-hand and the bottom right-hand runes. When Elaj reaches the room, pulling the lever will open the door and voilà!




Act1 - Ruby

Solution: Not much to say, the level is large and this will be about maximizing the efficiency of your characters so you don't reach difficulty 5 by the time you reach the final era. But even then the level remains fairly doable.





Act1 - Escape!

Revenge
Complete Escape! with no guard left alive

Solution: This is a loooong but nevertheless satisfying level. The first room has a button hidden on the top center wall that will give you access to the surrounding pathways, allowing to retrieve secrets and get the guards in to move on the center area where accidents can happen so fast ! The rest of the level actually provides a lot of spikes on demand (or beyond any demand, for that matter) so gettting those guards killed should be fairly easy.

That's it! Onto Act 2
Act 2
Act2 - Sapphire

Low-Key
Complete Sapphire without keys

Solution: The main difficulty without keys is to get access to the the second half of the bottom, right-hand corner. You have to Stun a guard that stops right at the door, then go left, activate the lever and leave this part. the rest is fairly straightforward.


Act2 - Malachite

Fast Loot
During Malachite, steal at least 100 gold on the first turn of loot phase


Solution: This one is all about the special skills. You will need a combination of Besk's "Tag Team" abilit, Elaj's potion of swiftness and Trin's action glyph.



  • Place the glyph next to the exit of the teleport located in the top, right hand corner of the central room
  • Place Trin on the stone plate left to the sorceress in the room to the left of the teleport, until the sorceress notices and goes onto the plate herself, then START LOOT PHASE
  • Have Elaj drink his potion, go through the door, then towards the top, right-hand teleport
  • Have Besk go towards the button hidden in the the wall on the right (you should have spotted it during scouting), Then swap with Elaj using "Tag Team"
  • Have Besk go towards the treasure within the BLUE perimeter (1 action), then swap again
  • Elaj's first action will land him next to the secret treasure, so he still has the capacity to pick it up with his remaining action.



Investigation
Find hidden information and escape


Solution: This achievement is one of the loyalty quests required to unlock the "team ending" (Partners in Crime achievement). You will need to pick Iwie to unlock it.


  • During scouting phase, find the button opening a secret passage in the top, right hand area of the map.
  • In the corridor behind it Trin has to activate several hidden runes (each in front of a blue light). It will reveal a hidden area with a lever
  • During loot phase, have one of the characters pull the lever, revealing a secret room within the secret room
  • Retrieve the secret statue AND read the documents on the table. The achievement will pop at the end of the level.

Act2 - Pearl

Guilt
Complete Pearl without killing an old friend


Solution: This achievement CANNOT be completed on first run. You will need to acquire Elaj's "Shadow blink" skill that becomes available with Act 3. You will have to teleport through two barriers:


  • first one at the beginning of the level, so you can keep your pass card
  • second one towards then end, when you are being chased by a spirit and you teleport to a new area (teleport located in bottom left-hand room) ! Go one room down, place the pass card in its slot, go back up through the newly opened barrier. You will then reach Trevor (stuck in between 4 explosive barrels). Just teleport on the other side of the barrier to the RIGHT of Trevor. That's it !

Act2 - Mana Stone

Complete Mana Stone carrying all rune keys

Solution: There is a total of 7 rune keys spread throughout the level. Gathering the keys is not too difficult if you have done your scouting properly, it's more a question of doing it efficiently so you do not reach too high a level danger once done. No hint here, just practice - and switch to a lower difficulty if need be !

Act2 - Soul lantern

Complete Soul Lantern with 7 items carried by one character

Solution: Here you have to stack 5 key passes, a diary and the soul lantern. Just make sure that only one character grab diary and soul lantern (for the key passes it is not a problem since you can just drop the pass in a slot, and have the proper character retrieve it).





Act2 - Mana Bracelets

Solution: One of the trickiest achievements in the game! You will have to get all characters in the level to gather in the central room WITHOUT picking any triangle keys (which would make it way easier). This also means you cannot get a perfect run since some of the loot is behind triangle doors.



A few pointers to do so:
  • For the characters going LEFT or RIGHT: you will have to double back to the beginning of the level AFTER you have completed your looting. This means that you have to make sure all spirits stay on the sigil that opens the door (You can do so by staying on one of the purple fences as soon as the spirit is in the right place and has killed every guard).
  • Please make sure you bring back all key passes you gather left or right, either by keeping them OR giving them to the runners that connect the various paths
  • Once all your characters have been brought back to the center path, they will need to go through the various gates while keeping the key passes (so the final door can be opened). One way to do so is to use Besk's swap capability: Iwie and Elaj go through the door using the passes, Besk retrieves all the passes (doors close) and stands next to the door so he can swap with an enemy. This requires that Iwie or Elaj have that enemy in sight (or swap won't work).
Since this requires kiting the enemies to the right place, you may want to reduce difficulty (or chances are you will be close to Danger level 5).



Act2 - Ritual

Safety first

Solution: This is all about "bell management", usually I keep 1 character behind to ring the bell at the very last moment (usually before spirits start wiping the map in one shot). Beyond that not much to advise, this is pretty straightforward.
Act 3
Act3 - Ravens

Don't feed after midnight
Complete Ravens without letting the spirits kill anyone

Solution: Very easy to explain, much less to execute ;-). You have one banish sigil available in a specific room halfway between two spirits, and Trin or Dumdum can place the other wherever you want. One spirit will therefore be banished very easily, and you will have to kite the other through any path that leads to the other banish sigil, which can be quite hard due to the quantity of sleeping and awake guards on either side.

You can make it a little simpler with these tips:
  • The room with the banish sigil is roamed by a guard with the triangle key. Try to steal the key on the side of the room opposite to where the spirit will be coming from.
  • The spirits CANNOT kill anyone, but this does not apply to you ! There are many traps in this level, and the guards will step onto them if they see you on the other side. You can also equip and use some of the kill skills from the characters
  • Once you have killed all the guards you could, Besk's ability to swap with or push sleeping guards can come in handy if they are on the spirit "death line".
  • Zoom out frequently ! You may notice that the "kill lines" of the spirit expand beyond where you thought. Otherwise you will notice a few deaths by spirit when completing the level and will have to restart
  • Last but not least, play in easy or "custom" with infinite rewinds - or be prepared to restart the level quite often due to the spirit landing on a guard you had not spotted and/or killed.


Act3 - Cave

Still wrong way
During Cave, explore the woods

Solution: Same as with the prologue, just walk left at the start of the level.






Keepsake
Find a keepsake and escape

Solution: This is one of the loyalty "quests" you need to unlock the "Partners in crime" Ending. You juste have to use Iwie's dazzleboom on the first sharpshooter you encounter, walk towards him, the keepsake is in a room on the left from the sharpshooter's location.




Act3 - Shop Attack

Payback
Complete Shop Attack with all sharpshooters dead

Solution: 4 Sharpshooters, 1 (Top right) is asleep and can be infected by Trin's "kill when awoken", the two at the bottom can be pushed intro traps by Besk (or killed with Iwie's "Big Mad" skill). Elaj's many kill skills can also be used. Quite a wealth of options, really !



Act3 - Burrow Spiders

Spirit Mutiny
Complete Burrow Spiders after letting a spirit kill the 2 leaders

Solution: There may be smarter ways, but my solution was to kill one of the possessed guards in each of the rooms where the leaders stand, and then wait for them to kill everyone the leaders and a few extra casualities, before running as fast as possible towards the exit. It may be combined with a perfect run, but I found it more enjoyable to do it twice, first in "brute force" as described above, then in stealth mode, only killing when required and stealing everything properly.


Monster kill
Kill 5 enemies during one of your turns
Solution: Although there may be other areas to do this, it certainly looks like this one was meant to be ! At the bottom, left-hand corner, you will see a line of various guards (including one of the leaders) with a sharpshooter in the rightmost position. With Iwie, you can use the "Big Mad" skills that causes a guard to kill everyone in his line of sight, then commit suicide... This is quite convenient, and too good an opportunity to pass in my humble opinion.
Just use Big Mad on the rightmost sharpshooter when he is facing left and savor the slaughter of evil, evil spider agents.




Act3 - Guards' Tower

Diplomat
During Guards' Tower, have the Sheriff let you escape

Solution: After discussing with the Sheriff, walk out without punching him. After a while he will mention you do not represent a threat and this will end the level. Which is just as well since you will have to redo it for the other achievement below ! (I suggest to get most of the loot on that first run to save time on the second)


"Diplomat"
Stun the Sheriff and escape

Solution: This is one of the loyalty "quests" you need to unlock the "Partners in crime" Ending.
After talking with the Sheriff a 3rd "Punch" option will appear in Besk's skills. Punch the Sheriff, and be prepared for a more intensive escape than in the previous version (the achievement unlocks on level completion).



Act3 - Thieves Guild

What barrier ?
Complete Thieves Guild without opening the vault's barrier


Solution: This may actually represent a shortcut towards the end of the level. You only need to gather the round key (Red) and gather in front of the Vault Barrier.


You can then use the following skills:
  • Teleport on the other side of the barrier with Elaj's "Jump" skill
  • Use Sonyang's "Teleport next to a friend ability" to get next to Elaj
  • Use Besk's "swap with a team member" on Elaj to get him across
  • Use it again to get Iwie on the other side
  • Teleport Elaj once more on the other side
  • Use Besk's "swap" on Sonyang
  • Use Sonyang's "Teleport next to a friend ability" to get next to the others.


Act3 - Wand of Spirits

Goodbye
Complete the game

Solution: Just finish the game, and have some tissues handy. Trin sure knows how to make an exit.





Partners in crime
Complete the game with the "team" ending

Solution: You need to finish the game after validating all loyalty Quests, matching the following achievements: Investigation, Shut up and take my money!, Keepsake, "Diplomat", "Strike Gold"
Remaining achievements
The following achievements do not require a particular level to be done, although some may have a preferred one.


Grind achievements

Shiny!, Mysterious! and Enigmatic!

These require that you find at least 1 secret in Act 1, 2 and 3 (respectively).



A great Choice!, Do you want it gift-wrapped? and Shut up and take my money!

You need to buy respectively 1, 5 and all of Sunyang items.



You will need to wait until Act 3 to get all items available, and you will not get the money to purchase everything until late in the game anyways.
Purchasing everything is a prerequisite to unlock the team ending (Partner in Crime achievement)

Perfect Run, Perfect five, Perfect Game

Collect all loot and secrets in respectively 1, 5 and all levels. Secrets location are not part of this guide for now.



What about the others ?

All other achievements should be fairly self-explanatory. I will add them for a V2 of this guide.
