this is a performance and size accurate replica of the r-7 derivative rocket that launched the Kosmos 60 spacecraft into orbit.

The R-7 was a Russan missile, this version was adapted to bring a payload into LEO. modernized versions of the r-7 rocket are still used today.

The Kosmos spacecraft line were unmanned lunar soft landers, launched in the 60s. if a Kosmos spacecraft failed to get into the proper lunar injection orbit it was declared a relay.
This replica is an entire Molinya 8J78 medium lift rocket with a Kosmos lunar lander/relay on top of it.

yeah mechjeb gets wonky with the third and fourth stages ( as you can see in the final screenshot, i had to use infinite fuel as well)

Using antennas to replace the landing gear is a really interesting take to make it a relay, it also works really well. I only had to use infinite fuel during orbit because mechjeb is kinda trash with workshop items but thats mb. 10/10.
