Yeah, there's a whola lotta stuff happening in that tunnel around you, but it all sits somewhat outside your perception range, like you don't have the right organs to sense it, or, rather, to properly focus on it, because you're aware something happens, you just can't put your finger on it. That's mainly why it reminded me of INFRA and that concept of "infrareality" it's built on.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one who appreciates this weirdo of a game. Have you caught on some strange sudden sounds/whispers in rare parts of the tunnel? They can be quite rattling after you get lulled into "this is just a long walk" scenario.

Lol, I suppose you should phrase it like "I should ask permission to ask you a question" or something like that, but then the other person might not respond, because they're not required to answer a question you're not asking. Most baffling indeed!

Ha ha, it is the ultimate logical contradiction, that's what you're saying?

I suppose that for me, the most baffling question of all time may well be...
"May I ask you a question?"

What's fascinating about it is that somebody actually thought they could make a horror game with such a simple scenario, but it totally works, it keeps you on your toes and stays with you long after you've finished it. It's like they distilled and concentrated the scariest and craziest bits of INFRA into a short tunnel ride that takes you nowhere. And of course you die at the end, but it happens kinda randomly and without much sense to it, other than, you know, bad trip. It's really one of those "it's the journey, not the destination" experiences, as the curator of the collection describes it in a short description.

I just read your review for The Fridge is Red, foo. Awesome job! I'll definitely check it out soon. This Rotgut thing is a different kind of experience, though. I replayed it trying to see if I can make better sense of it and I'm still not sure. I think it's supposed to be a "bogus trip", happening because someone didn't prepare their "Slithernewt" (don't ask!) the way they were supposed to. It's short and hypnotic and it happens somewhat "under the breath", like in the background of your perception, not in plain sight.

You just may wish to take a serious look at this tragically underappreciated game:

Lol, I just died in that tunnel, did a wonderful job of it, can't complain, but I still get the feeling most of the game flew over my head going in the opposite direction.
