hope this helps a little.
This is what I do personally when i wanna reinforce.
For the best effect, you should have 3-4 of the weapon you want to upgrade, a Lot of AR, and a Lot of crystals.
1st step is to take EACH 1 up to +4.
then 1 at a time, take each 1 +5. once they all at + 5 (might fail a time or 2 but nothing should break yet although break IS possible ). at this point i usually will go do a dungeon run.
Then take each weapon to +6. at this point fail is getting quite likely. If something fails, change to another piece of gear, or move away and do something else for a few minutes. once once everything is at +6, ur ready to move on. at + 7 (if i still got 4 weapons) i'll take 1 and try get +10. at first fail, switch to another piece of gear or move away.
you get the basics. this works for me, when i got enough AR.
Currently there are no assistant items yet and have no idea what they could be as I've never played the previous versions of this game.
