Jackdaw
Collect a jewel.

Jewels are your standard collectible in Quell Memento.

There's one present in each level of the game, and are typically found by breaking a certain block by repeatedly bumping into it with your droplet character. You'll know when you're breaking the right block because the texture will change to appear more "cracked", as well as a cracking sound akin to an egg will play.

If you successfully collect it, the empty octagonal square in the top left will display your collected jewel instead.

Lightspeed
Complete a level in under 5 seconds

This is fairly self explanatory. You must complete any level in less than 5 seconds.

It's ideal to attempt this on a level you've already played, and know the solution for.
It can be easily done with any of the first few levels in the Prologue.
Stagehand
Complete a stage in perfect moves

In the top left of your screen when playing a level, there are two numbers:

On the left, it displays how many moves you've taken currently.
On the right, it displays the minimum number of moves needed to complete that certain level.

You need to ensure your total moves is less than (in rare cases only) or equal to the minimum moves needed to complete the level. Or, in other words, make no mistakes.

Once you do this on any stage, the achievement should pop.
Aristocrat
Collect 50 pearls

Pearls are shiny white orbs that appear in a variety of levels, especially earlier ones.
Here is a picture of one:

To complete a level, you must collect all the pearls in that level.
To complete this achievement, you must collect 50 pearls in total, throughout every level.

Inquisitive
Complete a chapter

Chapters are sets of stages and levels that share the same gimmick. Each chapter has a
  • Title (such as Prologue, Guiding Spirit, Testament)
  • 4 Stages
  • 4 Levels in each stage

They're separated in different boxes on the menu:

To complete a chapter, you must complete all the levels in all four stages.
You will get this once you beat the 16 levels in "Prologue", the 1st chapter.
Wrapped Up
Wrap around the edge 30 times

The "edge" refers to the border on any level you're playing. If it's not blocked by anything, you will drift off the map and reappear on the opposite side.

Cross this border 30 times. This achievement should pop shortly after your 30th time.
Bye-bye
Die on a first move

After you load into a level, you must make a move immediately that kills you, making you restart.
Many things in Quell Memento can kill you including spikes, red droplets, or red roses.

This is done easiest on any level in Prologue Stage III by heading in the direction of spikes right when you spawn.
Ad Infinitum
Get stuck in a loop

As you're playing, look for levels that have a plentiful amount of empty space, particularly containing opposite edges of the map where nothing is in your way.

By wrapping around these borders, you can create an infinite loop because your momentum won't ever be blocked by an outside force such as a block.

This is similar to placing two portals above and below you in Portal.
Thorough
Complete a chapter in perfect moves

Complete a chapter, which contains 4 stages, in all perfect moves in each of the 16 levels.
Your chapters box should look like this when you're finished:

Don't remember what perfect moves are? Refer to the Stagehand section of this guide.
Watchmaker
Discover a timekeeper level

A timekeeper level is a secret hidden level that's present in certain levels. There are 24 throughout the game.

You'll know a timekeeper level is inside of the level you're playing by the red ring icon displayed next to the level select in a stage.

(an example of a timekeeper level with the red ring indicator, pictured below)

Once you know a timekeeper level is in a specific level, you must locate the ring used to enter it.
It is reddish-orange, similar to the ring on the level select screen indicating one is there. You locate it the same as you would locate a jewel, although it's typically harder to find.

(an example of a timekeeper ring, pictured below)

After you enter the ring portal, the achievement should pop.
Jailbreak
Break a droplet out of an ice block

You must break a droplet, which looks exactly like a player character, that is contained in an ice block. Ice blocks start appearing in the chapter "A Cold Heart".

You can find this earlier in Stage I Level III of "A Cold Heart". Breaking the ice block containing the droplet is required to beat the level.
So, after you complete it the achievement should pop.
Eskimo
Break 10 ice blocks that contain an object

Break ice blocks that contain objects. These include spikes, droplets, collectibles, pearls, etc.

You're guaranteed to get this by simply playing through the chapter "A Cold Heart".
The achievement should pop sometime before the end of your playthrough.
Icepick
Break an ice block 50 times

Break 50 ice blocks. This can be done by moving into their direction, ramming them.

You're guaranteed to get this by simply playing through the chapter "A Cold Heart".
The achievement should pop sometime before the end of your playthrough.
Versed
Complete 3 chapters

To get this achievement you need to play through Prologue, Illumination, and A Cold Heart in full.
When you finish the last level in "A Cold Heart", the achievement should pop.
Traveller
Travel 200 tiles during a level

This can be achieved throughout any level. You must travel 200 tiles in it.
"Tiles" refer to the grid that the game operates on, and that blocks and other obstacles are getting placed on.

This can be easily achieved by finding a level that contains parts that you can go back and forth from, and simply moving repeatedly through them until the achievement unlocks.

Or if you prefer less work, you can find a level with opposite borders on the map with no obstacles, similar to how you would find Ad Infinitum.
Then, wait inside that loop for as many iterations as it takes to get the achievement to unlock.
Jeweller
Collect 30 jewels

Collect 30 out of the 145 jewels in Quell Memento.
You can collect them in any levels you wish, as long as there's 30.
The achievement should trigger as you pick up your 30th jewel.

Don't remember what jewels are or how to find them? Check the Jackdaw section of this guide.
Electrician
Switch the battery on 4 times during a level

Battery's appear in many different levels of the game.
They are used to shut off lights to benefit you in certain scenarios.

Repeatedly moving into the battery, and thus activating it multiple times, should easily get you this achievement.

(a common battery, pictured above)
Noble
Complete 3 chapters in perfect moves

Once you complete any 3 chapters, including all 4 stages and by extension the 16 levels inside, with perfect moves, this achievement should pop.

Don't remember how to complete levels with perfect moves? Refer to the Stagehand section of this guide!
Spirited Away
Meet the spirit 3 times

"Meeting the spirit" is an in-game event that occasionally happens, albeit very briefly, after you finish a level. I don't exactly know if there's any more nuance to this achievement, but this is how I got it.

If you simply play through the game as normal, you should unlock this achievement at some point.
Lightshow
Cross the beams 5 times at once

You must cross the beams of your light droplets, introduced in the chapter "Ray of Light", 5 times simultaneously.

This achievement is quite particular, so I will explain a specific method to go about it.
To create 5 intersection points, you can follow these moves on "Ray of Light" Stage III Level III:

Droplet 1: Right.
Droplet 2: Right, Up.
Droplet 3: Left, Up.

Afterwards, the orbs should be positioned like so. Wait a few seconds for your achievement to pop.

(lightshow solution, pictured above)

Illuminatus
Illuminate blue, gold and red diamonds at the same time

For this achievement a blue light droplet needs to light up a blue diamond, a red light droplet needs to light up a red diamond, and a golden light droplet needs to light up a golden diamond.

This can (and will) be achieved when you complete Stage IV Level IV of the chapter "Guiding Spirit".

Here's what moves you need to take to complete this level:
Right, Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Down, Up, Right, Up, Right.

Roses are Red
Toggle 50 roses

In the chapter "In Bloom", an obstacle known as roses emerges.
They can be toggled from bloomed to un-bloomed by touch, when they're bloomed, they're deadly.
For this achievement, you need to toggle 50 total roses throughout any levels that contain them.

By simply playing through the chapter "In Bloom", this is easily achieved.

A Rose (Un-bloomed):

A Rose (Bloomed):
Punchline
Change a bulb 200 times during a level

Bulbs are square light tiles that can be changed upon indirect contact to the color of the droplet that is in contact with them.

This an be achieved with 2 different colored droplets following each other in a loop.
This set-up is possible in less than 15 seconds by playing "Guiding Spirit" Stage II Level III.
You need to push one spike out of the way, and running in a loop while inside the outer ring, following the two red droplets.

(punchline preemptive solution, pictured above)
Wormholed
Pass through a seam 40 times

Seams are dividing lines that separate the areas in which a droplet becomes a "light droplet" or a "normal droplet". Rays of light cannot pass through seems. If you pass through a seem, your droplet changes its type.

This can be completed in Stage II Level I of "Resolution" by moving up and down rapidly until the achievement pops.

(stage for wormholed solution and example of a "seam", pictured above)
Hadron Collider
Emit a beam at least 20 tiles long

You'll need to create a lengthy light beam to complete this achievement. This is only possible on one map.

You can do this on "Resolution" Stage I Level III in these moves:
Down, Right.

Let the silver ring portal engulf you. Then, simply wait a few seconds until your achievement unlocks.

(hadron collider solution, pictured above)
Clear Thinking
Complete every chapter

Finish all the chapters in the game. All 4 stages, and by extension the 4 levels in each stage, must be completed.

This achievement will unlock after you finish the final level.

Chemist
Merge 4 droplets into 1

Merging droplets is possible by moving your currently controlled droplet into another stationary one of the same color.

This is achievable on "Positive Energy" Stage III Level IV.
Break the golden blocks using the golden pearls, as you go through, merge with each droplet until you combine with the fourth.
After you merge with the last one, the achievement should unlock.
Vanity
Watch a full chapter replay

Chapter replays are available after completing a chapter, and will play subsequently when you complete the final level in one.
They outline each move you carried out through each level.

If you accidentally skipped your preview, you can rewatch it by selecting this flag:

Watch until it's over, which you will know once the achievement unlocks.
Momentous
Complete every chapter in perfect moves

This is a combination of the Stagehand and Clear Thinking achievements.
Refer to those sections of the guide for assistance.
Royal

You must collect all 145 jewels to unlock this achievement.
There is one in each level as well as another in the ending cutscene.

Don't remember what jewels are or how to find them? Check the Jackdaw section of this guide.
Father Time
Collect 24 time pieces

In each timekeeper level, there is one time piece.
These are exactly like jewels, and are located the same way.

You must collect all 24 time pieces to unlock this achievement.

(all 24 time pieces, pictured above)

Don't remember what timekeeper levels are or how to locate them? Refer to the Watchmaker section of this guide.

Don't remember what jewels are or how to find them (which also helps find time pieces!)? Check the Jackdaw section of this guide.
