Vital is a PvPvE Gamemode which was added to the game with the Prelude patch.
Two teams of five players play against each other on a conquest map. Both teams goal is to defend their own generator against waves of dinos, when one teams generator is destroyed they have 60 seconds to repair it. At the Moment there are only two maps (World-Tundra and and World-Plains). If you are not playing against total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you must do something to disrupt the enemy defense this is getting explained further below. Note: There always are three HordeBots, which only run around in front of the generator and kill dinosaurs. Sadly they give enemy players one shot kills if they come to close and are very hard to kill from nearby.
First let's see what's special about the HUD in Vital.

The percentage behind Dino Strength shows the strength of the dinos that are attacking YOUR generator, while Enemys Dino Strength shows you the strenght of the dinos that are attacking the enemy generator. You can upgrade the enemy dinos strength. How is explained further below.

Here you can see the current status of your and the enemy generator. Also how much time your team or the enemy team has to finish repairing it's generator if it was destroyed.

So there are 3 things you can do to help your team achieve victory.

• Defend your generator. (This seems obvious but a good offense doesn't get you anywhere with a bad defense)
  
• Attack the enemy generator and disrupt enemy players.
  I recommend you not to walk to the enemy base because it takes you to much time in which you could farm money by killing dinosaurs. Better take a Vehicle.
  Vehicles (You can buy these in the Vehicle Shop inside the building next to your spawn)
  
  Glider

  -good for early game
  -cheap

  Penguin

  Not recommended:
  -to expensive for transportation only vehicle
  -better use a glider

  Gladiator

  Not recommended:
  -it needs 2 players to be effective

  Tank

  -Expensive but strong
  -good for both offensive and defensive plays

  Mech

  -also expensive
  -too slow for offense
  -better off in defense

  VTOL

  -pricey
  -good for offense and defense
• Reinforce enemy dinosaurs and send dinosaurs to attack.
  Just go to the weapons shop and select the "Mercenary" tab.
  - You can "hire" every of the big dinosaurs to attack the enemy generator. Each for it's own price. (NOTE: they could also attack team mates if they are attacking the enemy base ATM.)
  - "Power up" will strengthen the dinos who attack the enemy generator. If you can afford it.
  - "Infiltrator" will add one Human bot that looks like below to every enemy spawn wave and attack the enemy generator and players.
