HOW to buy diamonds
There are two ways to get diamonds in this game:
1. Go to the shop and pay TONS OF REAL MONEY for them.
2. Log in EVERY DAY to earn a few gold for free, after five days you will win either a handful of diamonds or a new gun.

The free path is USELESS, you only get a couple of diamonds per week and those big fancy guns cost over 300 diamonds each. So don't bother logging in daily unless you just want the gold.

The pay-to-win path is VERY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE so just don't. It is an absolute ripoff. If you have that much money to throw around, there are better ways you could be spending it. Like donating to find a cure for cancer, or creating a college scholarship fund for poor but smart kids, or buying a mail-order bride from Ukraine.
WHY to buy diamonds
Nope. Just don't. It isn't worth it. The diamond packs are SUPER EXPENSIVE, and the guns you can buy with diamonds will require you to purchase multiple packs for each one. And you'll need to buy several guns to get through the game, too. I'm not kidding when I say the diamonds are just a CASH GRAB akin to DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. It is basically a scam.

But if you insist...
You can spend diamonds to buy special guns. The "cheap" ones cost more than 300 diamonds each. Once in a while you see one on sale for "80% off." However, those weapons are ALWAYS higher tier than your current city. So they make the game stupidly easy until you reach the city that matches the new gun's tier. At that point, it's good until halfway into the NEXT city. Then it will start to be underpowered compared to the mission requirements, and you will have to spend MORE MONEY to buy a new gun anyway.

These special and expensive guns have slightly better stats than the basic guns that you can buy for coins. The standard guns will take you up to the first mission of the NEXT city higher than their tier. The expensive special guns will take you roughly halfway through that NEXT city. But either way, in order to finish the next city you'll need to buy TWO new guns - a sniper rifle to do the main missions, and a subweapon (shotgun, pistol, etc.) for the side missions that will pay for you to upgrade the sniper rifle. In order to earn enough gold to pay for BOTH weapons and their upgrades, you will need to run those side missions roughly 175 - 200 times in each city. So get ready for a grind-fest. Some of them are fun, but after doing the same mission 200 times it gets old.

For real, DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON DIAMONDS EVER.
One fancy sniper rifle, at any tier above 10, will cost you the equivalent of two or three NEW "AAA" GAMES. And then it lasts you long enough to beat maybe 20 missions, each of which lasts 2 minutes max before you need to buy a new gun again. NOT WORTH IT.

Prime example:

To buy this gun, you need to purchase the largest pack of diamonds, which costs around $300. It is the "best" gun in the game. And you'll have about 600 diamonds leftover after you buy the gun. But that is far too much "pay to win" don't you agree?
