Additional prototypes are also available by default, purchase of which will add a new robot for you to customize, as well as another set of prototype parts being added to your inventory.

These are sets of arms, legs, heads, bodies, and paints that are unlocked in one set.

To unlock the Metal Sonic parts and blue paint, complete Speed Jungle Act Sonic


To unlock the Metal Tails parts and yellow paint, complete Frozen Base Act Tails


To unlock the Metal Knuckles parts and red paint, complete Golden Capital Act Knuckles


To unlock the Metal Amy parts and pink paint, complete Lagoon City Act Amy


To unlock the Metal Trip parts and orange paint, complete Trips' Story


To unlock the Metal NiGHTS set and purple paint, achieve a perfect bonus in a checkpoint bonus stage by collecting all rings in each section before grabbing that section's medal.

These are items that are unlocked individually by various means.

Please note, Gold, Rainbow, Heart, and Stars will not have images as they are auras that are pretty hard to convey the look of via a picture. The following video at least shows the icons of the auras (credit to troy236):

- Battle Mask - Beat the main story

- Item Box Head - Break 100 boxes in Story Mode/Trip's Story


- Gold - Reach Gold rank in Battle Mode
- Rainbow - Reach Platinum rank in Battle Mode
- Stars - Reach Super rank in Battle Mode
- Hearts - Reach Legend rank in Battle Mode
- Spring - Buy 30 items

- Emergency Vehicle Light - Beat any Act FRUIT once

- Chimney - Play Battles

- Angel Halo - Buy 100 items

- Flickies - Reach Bronze rank in Battle Mode


- Black - Buy all available Prototypes


- Polka-Dot - Buy 10 items

- Camouflage - Play Battles


- Mecha Sonic - Obtained from the Extra Content Pack as part of the Digital Upgrade purchase

These are all the Battle Mode parts found thus far, and seems to be all of them considering the video from troy236 shown in the misc unlocks section claims to have all parts outside of DLC, and they achieved the items via save editing, so it may be the best we get outside of someone cracking the game open to datamine all they can.

If anything new is found, I'll be doing my best to keep updating this guide, including any additional DLC parts added past Mecha Sonic.

This is also my first guide, and was made as quick as possible, so I apologize if formatting and whatnot is not up to par with better guides.
