Description

A review of Crymachina for the PC. The spiritual successor to Cry Star set in space and featuring android girls trying to become human.

A new hack and slash type game but one which I personally feel as if its missed the mark and what could have made it a great game.
-Each stage can pretty much be completed within 2-3 Minutes
-Each stage only has around 8 enemies and then a boss
-Levels are just corridors with no exploration given
-Gameplay itself is only around 7 Hours long (Give/Take)
-Characters seem bland or emotionless (Not sure if that's on purpose)

I mention more in the review but after playing Cry Star earlier this year and being literally blown away by the great story and its plot twists and fantastic cast I was expecting so much from this title. Yet everything in this game just left me feeling disappointed. It feels more like an indie game made in Unity by a small team rather than it being what it actually is.

The game is OK but that's just all it feels. Crymachina could easily have been an 8/9 out of 10 game but its not. Instead this game has just left me feeling like its a 5 out of 10 that perhaps with some updates might be able to improve the experience.
