The Spindash Guide!

The all you need to know comprehensive guide on how to perform the Iconic Spindash Maneuver.
Invented by Miles "Tails" Prower and commonly seen being performed by Sonic The Hedgehog.

Step One:

Press the down direction on the directional pad, or on the analog stick. This will put you in the crouching position!

Step Two:

While holding the down direction, proceed to press the "Jump" button at a rapid pace. This will cause Sonic to start spinning in place!

Step Three:

After revving up, let go of the down direction on the directional pad or analog stick. Sonic will proceed to launch forward at an incredible pace. This can be used to go up steep slopes or if you need speed.

Something to note is that the spindash seems to be bugged on framerates higher than 60fps currently, when I was mashing the spindash at 240fps it wouldn't register most of the time. Capping to 60fps fixed this, hopefully they release an official patch for it soon, really wanna play at higher framerates
