[W.I.P] How to Create Better Parks in Prehistoric Kingdom 2.0
Door ThatBaryonyx
Am I going to reuse the same intro from the old guide? You bet.

Do you feel like your parks are bad? Do you compare your builds to other players and get the feeling that you'll never be as good as them, causing you to go into a state of depression? Just me? Anyways, I got some tips to share with you to help make your parks look better than ever. Keep reading to learn more!

1. Think ahead
Before you even start you park, think of what kind of park you want to build. Do you want a more rustic-styled park? Maybe sleek and modern one? Whatever you choose, you should try to stick to a single building style. Doing multiple could make your park look a bit messy (If you are going with multiple building themes, I suggest organizing them by sections).

For most of this guide's examples, I'll use my current park that I'm making for examples (Haven't chosen a name yet though).

After decided on your building theme for your park, you can now choose what map you will play on. The building theme should work good with the map you build it in, such as using the arid building set on the Jordan Desert map.
2. The Animals [W.I.P]
[This section is still under development]
3. Habitats
[This section is still under development for formatting and other stuff like that, but its basically done]

Habitats for any animal are meant to mimic their natural environment, which will (at least hopefully) make them feel more comfortable. If you plan to make each and every habitat match the animal's environment, then at least try to fit it to match the surrounding area that is outside your park. For example, in my park built within the coastal map, I try to make the habitats fit with the forests outside my park. A great example of this is my Ankylosaurus habitat:

As you can see in the background, I decided to take inspiration from the forests outside the habitat to make it feel that the habitat is just naturally in the forest. Alongside that, I added a small waterfall and pond to the habitat, which made the habitat look more like the forest outside (jeez I'm saying that way too much. don't know how else to say it though)

Looking closer at the pond, you can see I painted some sand and other terrain options along the bank. This makes it seem more realistic, and ponds and other bodies of water commonly have sand (or some other substrate) along the bank.

And finally, I used the rock wall as both a backdrop to the habitat as well as a wall to keep the Ankylosaurus from wandering outside it. Just as an added point of realism, a moved the terrain up behind the rocks so it makes more of a cliff instead of just being a random rock wall without support (is that how I'd say it? I dunno, I couldn't think of a better way).

Overall, after showing my example, these are the main points that I have for improving your habitats:
  1. Use the surrounding area as inspiration
  2. Add terrain paint
  3. Utilize rock, trees, and other things to make the habitat feel realistic
  4. Take some inspiration from real world habitats (Forgot to mention this one, but you can look at zoo habitats for reference)
[PLANNED ADDITIONS]
Some additions to this guide I'll add in the furture include...

  • Buildings
  • Prefabs
  • And More!

Please be patient, as this will probably not be done for a while :(

@Squirtle_Squad I haven't really had the drive to update it (Mostly because I haven't played much Prehistoric Kingdom lately), but I suppose I could get back to working on it. Maybe I could start letting people suggest ideas since I somewhat ran out of them, but we'll have to see.
