big fish / predator fish / shark type fish

officially the biggest predator fishes are called "Shark", even if most of them are far from being one.

those are the fishes or creatures which hunt you when you swim in the ocean on a planet. if you're not fast enough to get on shore or boat, they will swallow you & you'll lose one of the Booster Cards.

if you don't know anymore if you caught already a "Shark" on a planet, swim carefully near a shore for some time till the danger music starts.
cause the additional effect to catching a "Shark" is, it won't hunt you anymore on that planet. so if you caught it, there's no danger music.

the Where ? the spots to catch a "Shark"

afaik the spots where a "Shark" can be caught are random, same goes for the fishing spots themselves, which appear & disappear randomly on a planet.

so

"Sharks" can be caught on EVERY FISHING SPOT, there are no special spots.

i'll post here the spots where i caught the "Shark" on a planet. you can take the same spot or you can just take the next you come across, it might be as good to get a "Shark".

the How or the "Shark" arrow pattern

you have to cast your fishing rod between 20 up to even 70 times on a fishing spot till you get the option of a "Shark".

when you have such a chance you'll notice it at the pattern how the arrow flies.
you get ONE very fast arrow first.

then after the first is THROUGH, the next FAST arrow appears.

through, then the next.

after that the arrows are still pretty fast & they come more often.
try to catch AS MANY as you manage.
but you have to respond correctly to at least >>> 1 in 3 <<<.
if you get 3 missed arrows in a row, it means the "Shark" got away & unfortunately you'll have to start over.
the more you respond to the arrows correctly the faster you will be at the end but it takes a long time since the progress is only slow.

some players have suggested io to get the "Shark" arrow pattern faster to fail all the other arrow patterns & just wait till the "Shark" pattern appears. but first off that's extremely boring & on top i was not able to get the "Shark" pattern this way. so i would rather recommend to relax, fish as smoothly as possible & wait till the "Shark" pattern appears.

you can catch the Moby-Dic.k fish on the third quest on Odysseum, the Harpie one, outside the Justice Valley dungeon.

The biggest challenge of this achievement, for me, was staying awake. After spending several hours just trying to catch the shark-type fish on the first three planets, I ended up writing a Python script to automate the process.

Interestingly, with the script, the predator fish seemed to show up much more quickly than before. I’m wondering if it’s because the script performs (almost) perfect button presses every time.

If anyone’s interested, I can share the script or try to create a standalone version of it. As it stands, it will likely need some adjustments based on your setup, to accommodate for different screen resolution, or whether the game is running in windowed or full screen mode, etc.

I been trying for what seemed like forever to get Me l Nemesis predator on Dimidium and tried the tactic Vitu mentioned of trying a spot and if the first one isn't it stop fishing entirely and then fish again. Did at one of the spots that can come and go for availability to be fished as I'm not sure if the permanent spot will work or not, want going to rusth it, and got the predator in like 10 or so attempts that way.
