Tierlist of characters based on how good they are in killing a Bakugo (OUTDATED)
Készítő: Lufiicer
Ranking every character in the game based on their chance to 1v1 a Bakugo and also giving an in-depth explanation of why, Season 1 tierlist, just because I'm bored while the developers come with a solution against the hacker invasion happening right now

Introduction
(DISCLAIMER: This guide is now irrelevant since Bakugo was massively nerfed on October 12th 2023, if you started playing the game after this date, just take into account that Bakugo was stupidly strong on release.)

I think the description is pretty much self explanatory enough, but I'll say my introductions anyways.

I just decided to make a tierlist of MHUR characters based on how good is their capability to kill a Bakugo in this meta (him being the most painful pain in the ass in Season 1), mainly because I find myself bored since hackers are now everywhere in the game and hopefully devs reach a solution to it.

Without further ado, I'll commence this tierlist
Tierlist

(also sorry for wrong colors in some of them, those were beta colors)
(S+) only counter to Bakugo
  • Izuku Midoriya: Deku might be the strongest character in this list and the only who could very well make a Bakugo have a bad time dealing with him.

The only few things that Bakugo is weak to, is quite literally everything that Deku is capable of, he out ranges all of Bakugo attacks and hits like an Elephant, and if Bakugo tries to escape, he can easily follow-up the chase with his Gamma and Beta skills, or in the contrary, he could just run from Bakugo with those skills to always have the long range advantage over the mid-range attacks of Bakugo.

And I'm not even mentioning that Deku has 50 more points of health.
(S) could solo Bakugo
  • Bakugo: pretty self explanatory, it's a mirror match, therefore it's a true 50/50 of who wins

  • Cementoss: Cementoss is the only character in the game capable of making new structures in the game, though it being destructible, these can take incredible amounts of damage.

Cementoss can knock Bakugo constantly with his Alpha skill, which also incredibly out-ranges all of his attacks, and if he finds himself in trouble, he can make himself a cover to keep him safe from those dangerous lasers that Bakugo possesses.

And if Bakugo tries to escape, he is able to gain the high ground artificially and really fast to keep Bakugo on his toes.

  • Tsuyu Asui: Well, Froppy is one of the best ambushers in the game currently speaking, she is able to hide herself from an untrained eye, and has amazing quick burst damage with a very unfair escape option, and dare I say she's the fastest character in the game in terms of base stats.

Asui could really be a problem for Bakugos and they won't see it coming or won't be able to react in time to her attacks, she could only be knocked out by a Bakugo if he hits his shots on the fastest thing in the game.

  • Tenya Iida: Though I have said that Froppy is the fastest character in the game in terms of base stats, Tenya takes the place of the TRULY fastest character, if he activates his Turbo, he becomes one of the scariest enemies in the game if you are situated in a 1v1.

His absurd bursting damage could easily take down a Bakugo, and the only thing that he could do is hit his shots from afar beforehand, because you'd WISH a single hit lands on Tenya after he activates his Turbo.
(A) with the right skills, could solo Bakugo
  • Eijiro Kirishima: Bakugo is able to see Kirishima preparing way before he strikes, and Bakugo even has some tools that could let him escape from Kirishima's grasp easily.

But if a Kirishima player gets close to a Bakugo who has wasted his evasive charges, he's more than done for, Bakugo could deal a considerable amount of damage upclose, but Kirishima's special ability allows him to take the hits like a champ, without mentioning that he himself is one of the only characters that have the craziest amount of 400 points of health, and his damage doesn't disappoint either.

  • Momo Yaoyorozu: Same as Kirishima, if you let this girl get close to you and you don't have any way to escape, consider yourself done for, Momo goes absolutely crazy with the stunlock, and is the only character in the game who is able to stunlock through her Alpha skill.

Although she's not as durable as Kirishima, she still has her Shield which makes up a perfect way to get close to a Bakugo without getting really hurt, so she is capable to chase down a Bakugo and make his life harder.

  • Shoto Todoroki: Although he is a very good character and up to the standards of the sniper meta of this launch season, he falls relatively short when confronting a Bakugo, he out-ranges him of course, and his projectiles aren't that bad, but the problem starts to reveal itself when you want to chase a Bakugo, or have any evasive skills at all to not let Bakugo's DPS kill you before you do, he has a shield with a very long cooldown to prevent that from happening, but also restricts your movement making you open to take damage from a Bakugo Grenade, and his Gamma skill which is the ice slide isn't that great of an evasive and actually gives away your position relatively fast.

Of course, Todoroki still has a chance to kill a Bakugo if you have the right skills to do so! Placing good walls and chasing the Bakugo with your Ice slide successfully, but it is still a hard fight for most Todoroki players.

  • Ibara Shiozaki: Though I see it hard for a Shiozaki to kill a Bakugo, if understimated she can easily end a Bakugo's life if he ends up right where she wants to be, she has HEALTH and DAMAGE to be scary upclose.

Sadly she's really slow, but if Bakugo makes the single mistake of being close to her, she could just finish him off with her stupidly long range Alpha skill which could very much possibly be the downfall of a cocky Bakugo.

  • All Might: This character may whiff a lot and may die in a poorly thought assault against a Bakugo, but he has the tools to get close to a Bakugo UNHARMED and jump away when needed that Bakugo could probably follow-up but against All Might, might seem pretty damn scary.

I only doubt this character because he definetly has good DPS, but people often forget All Might only works up-close and Bakugo has the best evasive in the game to get away from that situation, either way, All Might could still pick the kill and save his team from a Bakugo with just a little bit of luck and perhaps patience.

  • Mountain Lady: It isn't possible for her to get up-close easily and might be an instant death in trying to, but it doesn't change the fact that it's the WORST idea to 1v1 a Mt. Lady with her Special prepared to activate, when her Special is activated, she becomes almost invincible to many characters and most times you'd prefer run from her rather than keep hitting her on her giant form.

Though she has the same disadvantage that All Might has AND she could probably be easily avoided with Bakugo's evasive, and not only that but her usefulness only lasts some seconds so she is a pretty risky pick against a Bakugo.
(B) could tickle Bakugo to death
From this point and further below, characters CAN'T possibly 1v1 a Bakugo properly and rely on high advantages OR be in a lucky situation for them to be able to kill a Bakugo.

  • Mr. Compress: YES, yes, I know, HE has the one shield in the game that could COMPLETLY be the downfall of Bakugo, however, he becomes absolutely DUSTED in close-range combat, and Bakugo's wouldn't be afraid of getting up personal with a Mr. Compress and it would be nearly impossible to escape even with the teleport.

He would only be able to kill a Bakugo if he misses his shots constantly allowing you to kill him with your amazing Alpha skill DPS output, but you have to be mid-close range to be able to do that.

  • Denki Kaminari: Denki is naturally a close-range combatant, but he has no trouble in getting up-close and personal with a Bakugo, however his DPS REALLY doesn't give him enough chances to actually kill a Bakugo, and yes I know he has incredible stuns, but take in mind that Bakugo has evasives that could EASILY zone a Denki really hard.

Denki only works to counter close-ranged heroes, and he could possibly beat a Bakugo if he hits the correct shots, but only if he's lucky that the Bakugo takes bad decisions against him.

  • Himiko Toga: Alright, I know MANY people would probably tell me, "but, Toga is literally a mirror match!!!" alright, I'll give you that, Toga can transform into Bakugo, alright, but to do that, she has to hit her Gamma skill which leaves Toga vulnerable for a VERY considerable amount of time which could lead to a very bad health disadvantage, and even doing the transformation could leave you frozen in one place for a second or two! which could lead to even MORE health disadvantage for when you turn into Bakugo.

And this without mentioning that if you transform into someone, you're quite literally giving him free wallhacks for them to see you.

And yeah, don't... Don't argue about her base skills, they are NOT meant for 1v1s.
(C) just run from Bakugo at this point
  • Tomura Shigaraki: Alright, I'm truly sorry for those who fangirl so hard on Tomura, but he's the most TERRIBLE character to try and kill a Bakugo, all of his skills are meant to be grounded, hard-hitting close range attacks, but he HAS NO WAY at all to approach his enemies, Tomura is BEGGING for an evasive skill at this point.

There's not much to explain, Bakugo can zone him off easily, no nuisance or anything.

  • Ochako Uraraka: Ochako only has a SINGLE ONE damaging attack which is the Car Spin, and it works more like a Mass Control than a DPS dealer, she is able to outrun Bakugo but she won't be able to run forever from him.

Simply not meant for the job, she can't solo pretty much anyone honestly.

Oh, what? She has a Beta skill? Oh, yeah, well, doesn't change anything.

  • Itsuka Kendo: Yes, she has a shield, but this shield doesn't reflect like Mr Compress's, and can be broken VERY easily, she has decent burst damage up-close, but she has NO WAY to get up-close to anyone at all.

So, naturally Bakugo just zones and wins.

Can I just say... F BAKUGO. Like how is he so fast wheel playing froopy the other day I couldn't lose him. Even with my Alpha ability he just kept keeping up some how. I HATE BAKUGO (in MHUR Bakugo in the manga and anime is an amazing charecter.) But any way this helped a lot, I main Tomura and now I know I just can't take him on with Tomura so now I just need to hope and prey that there is no Bakugo in the last 5 teams when the circle gets really small. Thanks for this.
