Can you please contact steam support and tell them this item was incorrectly marked as incompatible? It's causing the addon to be hidden normally :(

I just found this mod + read the comments. Are you saying that mods tagged as "incompatible" still work fine? if I subscribe to it, will it be downloaded + available in-game? the reason I'm asking is my HDD got busted recently (= no longer have the game installed thus I can't test it on my own currently).

You should probably get permission from ihcorochris as he is the original porter for the weapon. For the incompatibility error, that is most likely somebody trolling, it works entirely fine and is probably one of my favorite M16 replacers.
