Before beginning the guide you may want to ask yourself a question. "Do I want to uninstall CS2?"

Well, here is one easy way to determine if you do:
Check on the steam library if you see "Play" under the Counter Strike 2 banner.
If it does, then we are good to go! If not, then you can feel free to click off now, or continue reading to see how one gets themself out of this conundrum!

When uninstalling CS2 you may notice that it is open on your computer. This is no good.

To quickly remedy this issue, you can actually simply close the application (be careful, some players get stuck pressing Alt+F4 to close the game, but that feature is still in development)
First, look to the top left of your screen and press the shut down button.
Next, simply move your mouse to the popup that appears and press "Exit".
This will close your CS2 application and you will instantly notice a change! Keep following along and you will see the real benefits!

Now that CS2 is closed, we can get on to the meat of the guide. You are almost there!

When in the steam library you should see the "Counter-Strike 2" game on the left pane. Click this to select the game.
Now, move your gaze to the right side of the screen and find the settings cog icon (⚙️) After clicking, a menu will appear.

Hover over manage and click the "Uninstall" option.


Now onto the final step. You may feel an impulse to stop following this guide, but be assured, everything will be better once it's over.

Move your mouse to the uninstall button and click the left mouse button. As CS2 is removed from your computer, feel a great weight lifted off of your shoulders. Now take a deep breath in through your nose. And 3... 2... 1... Release that breath.
