Getting started in any game can take a bit of extra effort, especially for beginners to the Survival genre.

But the game is very forgiving, and you should quickly be able to get into it, get settled, so that you can not just survive but also thrive.

I go through the three basic areas of:

Making Shelter
Scavenging for early resources
Food and Water


1) Get to the island and collect all the wood. Get to the top of the hill and use "B" to enter build menu to make some foundations, walls, doorway+door, window openings+windows.

2) Dive around the island, cars, washing machines, and red algae are great for early game and will have enough resources to make rope for a bow and sack (+extra inventory), as well as a fire bowl for warmth and the grill / water distiller.

3) Collect berries, mushrooms, crabs, and build the simple grill and simple water distiller. Make a bucket and fill it up, wood for fire, and you're able to fill that belly!
