Are you annoyed by your Steam showing this for CS2?
Want it to look like this?
This guide will do just that.
Some warnings
This is for Windows specifically! You can follow a similar process on macOS/Linux, assuming you locate the appcache folder.

Steam must be closed before doing this!

This isn't covered by Steam Support! Only delete the files shown, or you might break something and need to reinstall.
The process
The images used here are for Windows 11. This exact process also works on Windows 10, though step 2 will look more like step 8.

Quotes are used for visual separation, and are not in any file or folder names.
  1. Open your file explorer (the folder icon on your taskbar).

  2. Near the top of the explorer, click where the red line is.

  3. Type "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache\librarycache" and press enter.

  4. Delete all the images with names starting with "730_".

  5. Open SteamDB's app information page for CS2[steamdb.info] in your browser.

  6. Scroll down until you see this section.

  7. Right click "view portrait image" and select "Save image as..." or "Save link as..."

  8. Repeat steps 2-3, using this text box.

  9. Select "730_library_600x900.jpg", click Save, and click Yes to overwrite.

  10. Right click "view hero background", and save the image to "730_library_hero.jpg", using the same process as the previous image.

  11. Right click "view logo image", and save the image to "730_logo.png", using the same process as the previous image.
What now?
