Markiplier - Red Dragon Inn Custom Character

Beskrivning
Introducing the newest member of the party, someone with liver issues!

Mark is someone who focuses heavily on being able to take hits and dish them out, and is absolutely not balanced in any which way because this is a low effort introduction into me making RDI characters.

I've already made one before Mark, which I'm not sure I'll be uploading because it is - yet again - a self insert. (To see why that's an issue, see my other workshop item, 'Uentum Corda Four Souls Card Pack'. I'm trying to practice self love, I swear.) But, if people are interested in seeing her, I may upload her as well. For now, I hope you enjoy this character!

Is there a link to the Red dragon inn blank template for making custom characters?

Drew over most of them and recreated them from scratch, ii suggest probably using photoshop or something that can bevel/emboss text cuz drawing the shading on the player mat was a little tedious hehe. You can cut around them but each character's cards is personalized to them including the colors of the borders so i personally didnt wanna do that (disingenuous) so i made it harder for myself hehehe

Did you just copy official cards into firealpaca then just cut around them or something else?

As far as I know the RDI devs don't want there to be templates released which is why there arent any, so i just made my own in firealpaca which like i said i cant really release without expecting trouble (as far as i know) so i dont exactly wanna risk it.

But yeah i use firealpaca :>

What did you use to make these cards? I've been trying to make my own homebrew stuff but I can't find any templates anywhere

Regarding future plans, this mod may turn into a collection including numerous fan characters because I've been making a Deep Rock Galactic character(s) and i HATE how tabletop sim workshop uploading works, it would just be a lot easier for me to upload everything in one collection. So, that's something to look forward to! (Obviously I made a self insert character already (before mark even) so she might also be available in the collection? im a little on the fence about releasing her publicly though, so. maybe maybe not.)

Just a quick update to make the cards a bit more script table friendly (if the pack itself is put where the characters are, it'd replicate the way other characters are picked). His cards will be able to be announced with that announcy thingy, the log will detail his fortitude/alcohol content changes, the only thing is that the fortitude and alcohol markers won't spawn directly on top of the mat areas. cuz im lazy and dont really wanna be super precise with scripting, theres a reason im a graphic designer and not a game maker hehehe.

Times New Roman for card effects, and Boister Black for titles.

RDI uses custom-made fonts however, boister black's H's and I's are wackier n weirder. you're not gonna perfectly emulate the font look unless youre willing to edit a font which requires use of a program which can do vector imaging (photoshop)

What about fonts? which fonts did you use?

The issue with using templates is that each and every RDI character has personalized colors/border textures, so what templates I've made for myself would only fit for the characters ive made/will make. This goes for the card face textures, the backs of cards, player mats, backgrounds, and literally everything else that goes into the creation of these characters.

What I recommend is looking at the finished cards and using those as references in drawing your own borders and stuff, cuz what I've drawn won't help beyond people just reusing what it is as it is.

(for the background tho I used the red dragon inn Zoom Meeting background which can be found easily online, sorry that i cant really help any further than that. But, effort must be put into the creation of art! when you put effort into the things you create, you generally end up liking it more.)
