1.5 Beta Hidden Unit Combat Modifiers
By Kaiser
Beta 1.5 brought three new unit type groups for armies: infantry, artillery, and cavalry. Due to being in beta, tool tips for these units have not yet been implemented into the game, but each unit already does have its own unique battle modifiers in effect. This makes your army composition important in 1.5. This guide simply lists what the combat modifiers are for each unit so as to make up for the missing tool tips.

Introduction
What is this guide?
Beta 1.5 brought three new unit type groups for armies: infantry, artillery, and cavalry. Due to being in beta, tool tips for these units have not yet been implemented into the game, but each unit already does have its own unique battle modifiers in effect. This makes your army composition important in 1.5.

This guide simply lists what the combat modifiers are for each unit so as to make up for the missing tool tips. Note that with any beta update, these combat modifiers may be changed and may cause this guide to become outdated. However, I suspect that proper tool tips are likely to come with the next update, so it is unlikely this guide will be of continuing use at that point.

But in any case, if tool tips are not implemented with the next beta update, I will update the guide as soon as I can should the values change.

Why not make a mod implementing the tool tips yourself?
I intended to do this initially, but I honestly got lazy and didn't feel like experimenting with multiple restarts to find the localisation labels Paradox use for the various units, particularly since the mod is likely to become redundant within weeks. So, I figured this will suffice.

*The morale loss and kill rate combat modifiers for shrapnel artillery oddly are listed in the script under the "upkeep_modifier" modifier instead of the "battle_modifier" modifier. I've not tested to confirm, but because "unit_morale_loss_add" and "unit_kill_rate_add" are unlikely to be valid when used under "upkeep_modifier", it's inversely likely that shrapnel artillery will not have a value for morale loss and kill rate in combat.

Be wary of this as this may adversely impact army compositions using shrapnel artillery.

FYI: "Can upgrade?" controls whether the unit can be upgraded to a more advanced unit type. If the unit cannot be upgraded, e.g. from siege artillery to heavy tank, that means all units of the older type (in this case, siege artillery) must be disbanded, and units of the newer type (i.e. heavy tank) built as brand new units.

Inversely, if a unit can be upgraded, e.g. from hussars to dragoons, then clicking the upgrade button in the army view after selecting the newest unit type should upgrade the barracks to deploy the newer unit type. I only say "should" because I've not tested whether the upgrade feature is fully implemented yet, but the button is there so feel free to trial.
