O guia consiste em passos simples, é só seguir que as chances de funcionar são grandes. Meu controle principal é um de PS4, porém também testei meu controle de Xbox 360 (original e sem fio, utilizando o adaptador wireless) e sem problema algum. Também testei em 3 computadores diferentes, dito isso, vamos resolver!

The guide consists of simple steps; just follow them, and the chances of success are high. My main controller is a PS4 one, but I also tested my Xbox 360 controller (original and wireless, using the wireless adapter) without any issues. I also tested it on 3 different computers. With that said, let's get started!

Não sou programador, mas o que acontece de forma leiga é que ao conectar um controle o game entende que também tem comandos do volante ativados, como ele tem um código para gerenciar os volantes (Force Feedback e afins) acaba entrando em conflito reconhecendo os botões do controle como de volante (o que se você já viu um G29 sabe que tem um "controle de Xbox ou Playstation no meio"). Outra observação, no quesito ícones dos botões do Xbox no game, esse game assim como muitos outros altera os ícones em tempo real dependendo da entrada que esteja usando, no método que ensinei é para aparecer tudo certinho, mas caso não apareça experimente reiniciar o game e no menu Start, já começa apertando o controle.:)

I'm not a programmer, but from a layman's perspective, what happens is that when you connect a controller, the game thinks that steering wheel commands are also activated. Since it has code to manage steering wheels (Force Feedback and so on), it ends up conflicting, recognizing the controller buttons as steering wheel buttons (if you've seen a G29, you know it has an "Xbox or PlayStation controller in the middle"). Another observation, regarding the Xbox button icons in the game: this game, like many others, changes the icons in real-time depending on the input you're using. In the method I taught, everything should appear correctly, but if it doesn't, try restarting the game and, in the Start menu, start by pressing the controller. :)

O primeiro passo é simples, basta deixar a steam gerenciando o controle de PS4, e somente o controle de PS4, como mostrado no print a seguir:

Para acessar essa janela:

• Clique em Steam no canto superior esquerdo;
  
• Depois em configurações;
  
• Agora em Controles!

- If you use DS4 Windows, you can close the program; it won't be necessary, and on the contrary, it will only get in the way!

- Para o controle do 360 o processo é basicamente o mesmo, porém não é preciso que a Steam gerencie o mesmo!

Verifique na aba controles da steam se não possui nenhuma opção selecionada, principalmente a do Xbox 360. Para controles genéricos baseados nos Microsoft seria interessante testar com a opção de entrada de controles genéricos da própria Steam.

Para acessar essa janela:

• Clique em Steam no canto superior esquerdo;
  
• Depois em configurações;
  
• Agora em Controles!

- For the 360 controller, the process is basically the same, but it's not necessary for Steam to manage it!

Check the Steam controller tab to ensure no options are selected, especially the Xbox 360 one. For generic controllers based on Microsoft, it would be worth testing with Steam's own generic controller input option.

Siga esses passos corretamente!

1. Conecte o controle antes de abrir o game, menos chance de dar ruim;
   
2. Abra o game normalmente e faça os primeiros passos usando somente o teclado;
   
3. Vá em configurações, controles e clique com a tecla X no controle (No caso a imagem vai ser do controle do Xbox One);
   
4. Depois aperte a tecla L Para resetar as configurações;
   
5. Faça o mesmo processo com as configurações do Teclado, basta apertar Page Down;
   
6. E repita o mesmo para as configurações do volante;
   
7. Agora você vai nas configurações do teclado, aperte X e retire todos os comandos do teclado, minha dica é colocar em um por um a letra M, pois o último comando é Abrir o Mapa e você vai ser obrigado a deixar algum comando com bind, preferível que seja o M do Mapa;
   
8. AGORA APERTE ESC E DEPOIS PAGE DOWN PARA SALVAR A CONFIGURAÇÃO;
   
9. Entre agora nas configurações dos comandos do volante e aqui que mora o pulo do gato;
   
10. Você vai usar o controle e teclado nessa pois provavelmente o botão Bola ou B não está funcionando ainda;
    
11. Então você vai substituir todos os comandos do volante pelo SETA PARA CIMA do controle, pois justamente o último comando é abrir o mapa e abrir o mapa no controle normal é seta para cima!
    
12. AGORA APERTE ESC E DEPOIS PAGE DOWN PARA SALVAR A CONFIGURAÇÃO;
    
13. Pronto, agora é só abrir o modo campanha!
    
    Se você abrir o modo campanha e ainda não funcionou, aperte ESC, vá até as configurações de controle e vê se o Teclado ou o Volante estão com alguma Bind que não seja M ou Seta para Cima respectivamente.
    
    Segue os prints para auxilio!

Follow these steps carefully!

1. Connect the controller before opening the game; there's less chance of something going wrong;
2. Open the game normally and complete the initial steps using only the keyboard;
   
3. Go to settings, controls, and press the X key on the controller (the image will be of an Xbox One controller);
   
4. Then press the L key to reset the settings;
   
5. Do the same process for the Keyboard settings by pressing Page Down;
   
6. Repeat the same for the steering wheel settings;
   
7. Now go to the keyboard settings, press X, and remove all keyboard commands. My tip is to set each one to the letter M, because the last command is Open the Map, and you must leave some command bound; it's preferable that it be M for Map;
   
8. NOW PRESS ESC AND THEN PAGE DOWN TO SAVE THE CONFIGURATION;
   
9. Now go to the steering wheel command settings—this is where the trick lies;
   
10. You will use both the controller and keyboard for this because the Circle or B button probably isn't working yet;
    
11. So, you'll replace all the steering wheel commands with the controller's UP ARROW, since the last command is to open the map, and on a normal controller, opening the map is done with the up arrow!
    
12. NOW PRESS ESC AND THEN PAGE DOWN TO SAVE THE CONFIGURATION;
    
13. Done, now just start the campaign mode!
    
    If you open campaign mode and it still doesn't work, press ESC, go to the control settings, and check if the Keyboard or Steering Wheel has any Bind that isn't M or Up Arrow, respectively.
