By Kingemocut
the game on my system defaulted to using the CPU and trying to correct that was a bundle of fun, so this guide is here to help you.

Background
As a quick background, I have a windows 10 gaming laptop with an iGPU and a RTX 2070. When running the game, it decided to run on the iGPU rather than the 2070, and the old fix for this didn't work, and getting it to work annoyed me enough to make me write this guide. Please excuse any spelling or formatting errors, writing guides isn't my thing.
The Fix
  1. Open windows settings (this can quickly be done by pressing the windows key and typing settings before pressing enter)
  2. Go to the graphics settings page, easily done by searching it as can be seen here
  3. In the page that opens, click browse and go to where the game is installed, by default this is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gun Gun Pixies" and then add the game_x64.exe file.
  4. Click options, followed by "high performance", and then save.
  5. Next, open the NVIDIA control panel. This can be done by right clicking on your desktop and selecting NVIDIA control panel
  6. In the window that opens, on the right-hand side change the tab from global to program settings
  7. Click "add" that's next to the drop-down menu if gun gun pixies isn't already there, and then add gun gun pixies as a option. If it again isn't in the next drop-down menu, you can use browse and add the same file that we did for the windows graphics settings.
  8. In the 3rd section with all the different graphics options, scroll down until you find "Max Frame Rate". Click on the drop-down, select "on" and set the frame rate to 60 FPS and then OK.
Notes/Personal Thoughts
You should now be done. I would also highly recommend applying a 4 GB patch as is the case for all Compile Heart/Idea Factory titles, but this guide will not go into that.

If we do not limit the game to 60 FPS, it will run 10% fast normally. Even running at 60 FPS it feels a bit quick, but when i was doing some light testing it seemed to be fine.

Personally I found the need to change the graphics settings in windows to be a bit of a pain, especially as i'm used to having to change them via the NVIDIA control panel, but that's windows for ya.

much easier
no need to touch the os outside of that app
for those that dont want it,.. ok
but yeah.. this all is in one nvid app which is free to all

ty for the guide, but this is something id do for all games
note: id recommend 59.94fps lock inside inspector
you have about half a thousand to pick from, 59.85fps or 59.94fps

hugs and gl all
